Just spoke to Toyota Financial Services - they were totally cool with it - confirmed 50% paid termination doesn't affect credit rating. ?

Now arranging for Prius to go back to garage in early April bless it.

Does anyone else feel guilty when they get rid of a car? It's not like they have feelings, but they almost become part of the family.

Did you loose or gain money overall with this deal if you add up all you've paid until handing back the car? Compared to paying cash and then selling it.

I sold mine 4 months ago and feel guilty for that. I should to keep this car. Was brilliant. Hope just same luck with MME!

Jovial banter between like minded people in a similar situation helps. I think it has been made worse because of the current circumstances because we have all been focusing our attention on the car rather than other "normal" events. The light at the end of this (very) long tunnel is getting larger and brighter. The next major hurdle will hopefully be overcome tomorrow when some of our cars get loaded onto the ship.
I know there will some of you who will be angered that some cars will be leaving when yours are still in Mexico and I sympathise with you. Your time will come, just hang on in there.

Not 100% sure how I'd work that out - but because the secondhand value is so low at the moment I'd say there would be definite loss in the total amount paid and then received back.

Running the PCP to full term would have been detrimental as the guaranteed value of the car (and the final balloon payment) was so much higher than the value of the car.

The ideal situation would have been to trade in on another Toyota - because that guaranteed value was so high it is giving you a bigger deposit on a new vehicle (which is probably why they do it)

So ending the PCP using the 50% paid clause and then walking away has saved me £4k on finance before the end of contract, and actually worked out to be the best option because I was changing vendor (ie defecting to Ford)

It's just a blip I'm sure - give it a couple of hours it will flip back.

After looking into it a bit more it looks like it's part of a process of setting ETA dates back to the default value of 1990-01-01.

Some of you had ETA dates set in January and February, which never would have been met. I believe this process is just resetting the records, and as long as the Transit date 03 remains it should all be ok. I think the Ship Date will re-populate along with an "In Transit" status

@SteveUk @RegP - you might want to run a quick VIN check via the Tracker to see.

I'm pretty sure this won't affect anybody's shipping.

I have my suspicions when on last night's news they said the new mars ship is the "size of an SUV", I think Ford launched mine to Mars to punish me for my moaning.

I've noticed that it can also read different dates depending on what browser you use. I have Samsung Internet on my phone and when I noticed a change on that there was NO change on chrome or Edge on my laptop. Weird

Morning. I feel a prediction coming on.
Grande Houston is due to arrive in Veracruz late tonight to load, hopefully, some of our cars. At the moment she is due to arrive in Antwerp on 15th
March where UK cars will be unloaded to wait for shipping to Southampton. The next ship to arrive at Veracruz is the MSC Immacolata on 28th Feb. She is due to arrive in Antwerp on 22nd March. Now, according to Grimaldi's scheduling, the next available ship to Southampton, Grande Mediterraneo, leaves Antwerp on 23rd March arriving 24th so there could be quite a few cars on this ship. Allowing 2 weeks for delivery to dealers, PDI's etc I forecast that if we are lucky we should be taking delivery of our MME'S mid April. Now wouldn't that be nice. About another 7 weeks then. I can live with that. ??????. Of course Ford could always take pity on us and ask Grimaldi to change the schedule and get the Grande Houston to divert to Southampton on her way to Antwerp. She is going past after all. That would be even nicer.

At which point will our cars have to clear customs? I worry that if in Antwerp, it will take too long and the cars will miss the boat so to speak

Surely customs is predeclared by computer before they enter the EU? I know nothing about that process but there's some here who probably do.
