How many will cancel if budget changes PICG criteria for the worst?
By the time mine arrives, it may already be reversed. As an owner of the business, I will just work out the most efficient way to keep it.

As am I and after crunching all the numbers it is cheaper and more beneficial for me to PCP privately than get through the business.

My day job is lobbying government on things like PICG. I think any changes are unlikely at this Budget as the Spending Review last autumn confirmed the PICG spending for years 2021/22 and 2022/23.

(Before everyone shouts) yes I know governments can U-turn, but am not picking up any signals they will on this measure. But after 2022/23 it's anyone's guess. PICG for cars, vans, motorcyles and taxis combined is budgeted at Ā£582m for that year, and hard to see that level of spend continuing beyond that (unless EV sales don't keep increasing as people expect).

Thatā€™s a shame, but not surprising. Like @portlandg - Iā€™m forever the optimist ?

I located my VIN, Hopefully @Wonky_Donkey (sent a msg) will understand more than me about the dates on the tracker. It seem to indicate that it is in transit.
Yep - it looks like you managed to snag one of the first batch that were built in December. Most likely a pre-order that got cancelled, and was up for grabs. They are all hopefully sitting on the quayside at Veracruz ready to be loaded onto a ship tomorrow. :)

Really? How can that be? 1% BiK and the 2% BiK fixed I think I read until 2025? The company saves the NI if you do a salary sacrifice and is allowed 100% capital allowances if the buy and you're saving 40% assuming you're a higher rate tax payer. The per mile claim is poor but if you get a grant for a charger at home and another at work I would have thought you'd avoid big charge costs. For me, it is way cheaper through the business.

Just a thought on shipping... they will ship all the UK cars built to the UK even if they are unallocated as they need to come here and dealers would snap them up anyway, I'm sure. So I would have thought all QC inspected finished units will be shipped. I hope so as Ford seem to be really slow in confirming any of my VIN's.

Everyone's situation is different. Mine is better buying as a private vehicle

fair enough... I'm planning to write the value down and then buy it cheap from my business after the initial term. Our business is Scottish so there's even a interest free loan possibility for the first 25k which would be nice. Probably need to jump through hoops but worth a try.

I know there are a few others on here who have ordered via their company car scheme from Lex Autolease. What sort of dates are you seeing in your account? Mine RWD Std range in black is sitting at the 23rd of July. Whether that'll happen or not, who knows!
My order with Lex Autolease through a company car scheme went in at the beginning of Feb, with a end of September ETA

However, it looks like I will get to try a demo vehicle next month which am sure will only make the wait even worse than already is!!

Iā€™ve spent all day trying to order a f**king First Edition since they were re-listed on the Ford website with the issues that prevent you ordering them, but no one at Ford can help me order one. The mind boggles. Called my dealer first, who was helpful, but couldnā€™t order it, said contact the Concierge team. They point me back to the dealership. I tell them itā€™s not possible through the dealership, so after they confirm the configuration error we all see on the website someone takes my details down and promises to get back to me, only to get emailed from them a few hours later telling me to go back to the dealership. For crying out loud, can someone at Ford PLEASE fix your fā€™ing website??

Rant over.

It was a pain in the a!!e to order on line a RWD ER twice, a FE must be near on impossible. If on line ordering is the future, then this will be my first and last time.
