So now that dealers are starting to get FCTP MME's on the lot who are actually letting customers demo them, what do you think?
For the dealers putting ropes around them, shame on you!!! Sell more MME's please with no ADM, helps the rest of us.
Soon these demos will be for sale, question, will there be a discount or will they want full boat for a used MME? - Time will tell. I suspect dealers will be putting these up for sale as soon as they reach 4 months or 4000 miles. It does not take long to get to 4K when you are loaning out a popular car. A dealer near me said they will be selling theirs soon. I suspect some are limiting the use to maximize the resale value.
For the folks who got demo drives or overnights that don't have an order, will you be placing one?
If you could would you opt for the GT? I would at this point as long as the insurance is close to the same as the regular models?
I hear stories where dealers are frowning on spending time with demo rides for current order holders. I think if you are looking for a demo ride you should be doing this with the dealer you have your order in with. The sales person or sales manager should be making sure you are able to take out their demo MME as this was part of the pre-order sales pitch. We all should be able to take a demo drive before actual purchase, limitation so far for some has been that their dealer of choice doesn't have their demo yet.
For folks trying to take a demo ride at a dealer that you didn't place an order with I can understand the cold shoulder, if they know you have an order in elsewhere.
I could go on but Ford should have put more thought into the entire purchasing process of the MME. A reservation to order is not enough for 2021, they need to get with the times if they want to really compete with the elephant in the room.
Thoughts?
