If Mach-E x is written on the side of the car does it mean 88k battery?

Hey guys,

I called a few dealers in my area that have MME to sell however it is clear they know nothing about the car or EVs.

I want an extended range battery and a dealer is arguing with me that their car has the extended range battery despite the car sticker saying 68k battery. They claim because it’s written Mach-E x on the side that stands for « extended range”

how can I make sure that the MME I bug has the extended range battery? Is there a setting I can look for in the computer onboard?

Maybe they’re showing you a sticker for a different car. If they sell you one with an X for the price of a standard range, you should jump on it.

I went to a dealer last weekend, where the sales rep (who was the dealers certified Mach E expert) told me the “x” on the door meant that it was the premium edition and that meant it had leather lol.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth, although from that point forward I didn’t listen to anything else he had to say.

I mean it's technically possible the badges are incorrect (but unlikely). Just check the VIN label.

Verify you're looking at the right sticker. It would have the 88kWh battery listed in the optional equipment section on the left hand side kind of halfway down the page. It would say "88KWH USEABLE EXT BATTERY"

Most of the VINs are on autotrader, check for your local dealers. If not there, check the Ford Mach E inventory pages which also show VIN.

If you have the VIN, you can also get the window sticker directly from Ford by using the "tracker" link at the top (desktop) or left side bar (mobile) of this forum.

And he is the Expert !!! Sad , Ford pull it together and train these sales people !!! I do not even have mine yet and I have educated more dealers in my search than Ford has. Finally found my MME today and dropped a deposit . Picking it up next week 4 hours away!!! Can not wait !!!
