How is that obvious? The initial reveal of the MME didn't have dividers either. The Lightning won't be sold for at least a year. I have no doubt that the MME's frunk will be electrically released by then.

Don't assume that trucks have the same safety requirements as do cars. In fact, the relevant U.S. regulation, FMVSS 401, *only* applies to *passenger cars*:
They'll have a physical pull handle with a glow in the dark end for a cable release like all US cars have in the luggage compartment. The problem with the Mach E is it's a switch, which for some reason they haven't got approved yet. Hence the dividers in the mean time.
My dealer has informed me that the (dividers) and remote frunk opening will be updated OTA in Q3 this year.

The Lighting reveal honestly does not tell us that. The lighting my have a true manual release in it which the Mach E does not have as even the one in the Frunk is a software one. This followed by they might of gotten approval with out needing it as well. On the Mach E they might of not gotten the approval until more recently as well.

I disagree! When the F-150 lightning is released, it will feature a permanently mounted, multiple layer front trunk divider, creating cubbies with a maximum volume of 20 cc. And it will feature a manual, interior operated release that will require three pulls “for safety” ???
