As the previous owner of three electric cars, The number one thing Ford MUST do if they want to remain in the game is to have a dedicated team of Mach-E and soon to be released F-150 Lightning “Experts”, ready to answer any and all questions from us the buyers. In the three weeks I’ve owned the Mach-E, I have already experienced the inept knowledge of everyone from corporate, down to the sales and service staff. Extremely disappointed to say the least.

Have you had the SSM for PaaK installed?

I have not. Most things I have read have said it didn't solve the issue. My dealer is about a 45 minute drive so I was reading to see if worked before driving out there.

I had given up on PaaK because it only worked half the time or less. I had the update installed 2 weeks ago and it’s been close to perfect since then.

The charging curve. With an 11 kw buffer, we should have a charging curve like the E-tron, not whatever it is now.

I just went out and tested mine... you're right, I guess it does come on when the proximity beeps come on. I just rarely ever get that close, so I didn't even notice. ?

As you said, it comes on way too late though. We've already cleared the cars on either side and are 95% of the way into the parking spot by then. Or in our garage. Defeats most of the purpose of having that nifty overhead camera view.

So I guess the issue boils down to wanting a setting for how far out we want the camera to come on. Right now it seems like it's only a foot or two. A setting to choose 3', 6', or 10' for auto-camera would be nice.

Or speed related… like come on at 5 mph.

Hard to pick one, but I'll say making the camera screen automatically come on when parking. The cameras and the screen are great, but they're a pain to turn on manually (so I usually don't, meaning it's a wasted feature). They'd be really helpful for parking spaces.

Wish there were an option in settings to have the camera screen come on automatically when we get within 10 feet of any object (when in 'D'). Or slow to <5 MPH.

Absolutely this! Our five year old Lexus does this with the front camera coming on at about 12mph. Sometimes this is slightly annoying at traffic lights but it is inconceivable this is not available in an EV which is specifically designed to be driven forward in to charging stations. Having the camera come on with the parking sensors is far too late to be truly useful.

secondly is all the sync4a bugs. sure would be great for the satellite radio alerts to actually work. You know, like they do with sync3.

I have 3, but 2 of them have been mentioned already…

1. FordPass is a hot mess for our Mach-E’s. they need a separate app dedicated to EV’s. Complete with smart watch support

2. Dedicated subject matter expert support. At a minimum to the dealership service department, but ideally to the customer. that way, I could call someone that understands that my car is different from most Ford vehicles on the road, and could help me solve issues, or book me a service appointment if necessary. We don’t all have EV certified dealerships handy.

and the new one…

3. Give us a better instrument cluster. If you want to pretend this is actually a Mustang, give us top of the line instrument cluster support. The F-150 has far more available screen information. At a minimum we should have power in/out with regen support, but drive a 2018 eco boost Mustang, and look at all the different screen layouts available to use in each mode. There’s no reason that a Halo car like the Mustang has such limited information available behind the wheel.
