That’s not new. The red stitching is on the First Edition.
I just checked and that’s not the case on the UK configurator and my pre-order specs... both say Black Sensico with Red Stitching. So it might just be a US thing? If it’s not, you might want to flag it... it’s not really a big deal for me, but I imagine it could be for some others in the UK.

Yes, these are not the global specs in the order guide.

Thanks Guys. This is very useful. At least it will give us this side of the pond a further insight into what we are likely to get. Unfortunately there will be things on this spec list that we wont get in UK (like phone as key) as our models are different with different levels of equipment. I suppose that these pages have been made available to you over there because your order books open this week. No idea when ours will open, but I am sure it won't be long

Sooner or later something about putting a rear hitch on the vehicle needs to arrive.

No red stitching on Premium models... is that new? I'm sure I remember it as being included.
Our models are different to US. You can have red stitching on AWD ER

I don't see any package for the US that includes a hitch mount, which makes me sad for my hitch mounted bike rack. Not sure that I would want that as a dealer installed option. If anyone has a good suggestion for a non-hitch bike rack that doesn't require a bunch of straps and more importantly won't damage your car or paint, let me know. I do currently have a Saris "bones" rack too, but I don't like how it attaches.

The big question will be the pricing on the two options for the Select trim. I would assume they will still keep the overall price below a base Premium or what's the point? I guess we will find out soon enough.

Living in snow country I really would want the heated front seats.

It doesn't look like the glass roof is even an option on the select that comes standard on the premium, so, at least for that, there has to be a price difference.

Yep. Many of us have been estimating 90 kWh usable for the ER. If the numbers are based on 88, that means it's slightly more efficient than we assumed (if the range stays the same). 300 miles / 88 = 3.4 miles/kWh avg.

With that fairly large buffer, we might feel OK charging it closer to 100% more often. Maybe 85-90% instead of 75-80%.
I've been working on a video about efficiency, and comparing it to other EVs. If this is true the MME jumps up the list by quite a bit. I wonder if we will know before hand whether the range is based on usable battery or the entire battery capacity.

Ford said early on it would not offer a hitch mount in the U.S. market -- factory or dealer installed. For an install, third party installs are the only option in the U.S.

Thanks for sharing!

Confirms a few things:

1.) Upgraded performance compared to first estimates
2.) Prep package is standard on all trims except Select
3.) No additional option packages on Prem/FE trims
It also confirms:
4.) Separate payment for feature software required to activate full functionality at that time.

So hands free driving will have a price to it, but how much ?

I'll plan to add a 3rd party hitch for bike rack and other accessories.

Seems like range would have to be based on usable battery, otherwise it's pretty much false advertising to say it will get 300 miles range if no one can get to 11% of it.

Problem is I don't think BEVs always publish their "usable battery" specs like this, so we're stuck often having to calculate it from full battery size, leading to some apples-to-oranges comparisons.

Of course, efficiency (I still like to call it mileage to be consistent with ICE) varies so widely on BEVs that boiling it down to a single number like this is almost pointless. What we really need is a separate number for a constant 70 or 75 MPH (for road trips, where range really matters most). For all we know that could drop to 2.4 or worse.

Note too that the 3.4 miles/kWh calculation is for the RWD models (both ER and SR). Both AWD's calculate to 3.1.
