So, I’m NOT in this particular Early Access Campaign (at least according to the Early Access website), yet I’ve noticed this EXACT behavior recently and was puzzled by it. I have the charging level set to 90% in the app, and get the message that charging to 90% was completed, but on the app home screen, charging was reported as being completed to 100%, and in the car, it was reported to be completed to 100% on the instrument cluster. I’ve been puzzled by this.

Thanks. Doesn't apply. I have my location set to home, which is where my charger is.
So you don’t have “Charge when plugged in” selected?

The other part that was wonky for me was when my charging schedule was set to anytime. Once I limited charging to 23 hours per day on the weekends it’s been working perfectly.

Ah, so when you select that the vehicle will ignore your preset limit and charge to 100%. If you want to only charge to your 90% limit then you select ‘Use preferred charge settings’.
Cool. I’ll try that!

Just a heads up for anyone - you may have to delete and re-setup your stored location (in my example, "Home") after turning this feature off. I turned off intelligent charging since it didn't work for me, and even though FordPass and my Mach-E showed "At Home, waiting to charge" and a max charge of 90%, it would always charge to 100% when I plugged in. Deleting the location and setting it up again fixed the issue.

so, I tried that, and even though my charge times are set for any time on both weekdays AND weekends, every time I come home, I now get an error that says something to the effect charge schedule conflict. Charging to your desired level may not complete with your current charging schedule. (I’ll get the exact error the next time I’m in the car).

I set my schedule to be a max of 23 hours a day. Leave a 1 hour gap at some point. I set mine from 12 AM to 11 PM.

I will occasionally get that charging conflict error message in the car, but the vehicle always stops at the preset limit.

Ok. Thanks! I’ll give that a shot. I’d point out that “Anytime” should work though ?

I do have TOU rates from 11 pm to 9 am weekdays, and anytime weekends. It would be nice to have the car be smart enough to know that I leave at 6:30 am on weekdays, so don't start charging to 80% right at 11 PM when the TOU is available. Wait until 5:00 or 5:30 am to start charging and then be ready to at 80% at 6:30 am.
Why does it matter when it starts as long as it waits until off peak times?

Pricing wise it doesn't. But my intention would be to keep the SOC lower for longer to help preserve battery life. No point in sitting at a higher SOC all night when I don't need it. I just need it at the set charge level by the time I leave, not many hours before that.

There are a few reasons to not charge the battery and let it sit fully charged. One of the big things I've noticed is that If I start driving pretty quick after it reaches its charge, it discharges normally. If I let it charge and then sit overnight or longer, i'll lose 2-3% SoC just getting out of my neighborhood. I've gotten up to 12 miles before it dropped 1% when leaving as it hit full charge.

Also, charging warms the battery, and you'll get a little better performance of a warmed up battery. Another reason to have it finish charging around the time you plan on leaving.

Also, its just not good for a battery to sit fully charged.
