Windows up/down, horn/lights and trunk from FordPass app

Ugh, I was not in BT range. I guess that's an "upgrade" that you have to be in BT range for it to work? That's pointless, if I am in BT range I can do it when I get into the car. Good functionality would be for it to work when I leave the office I want to open the windows as I walk to the car so it can air out.

It's always been like that. Remote start and horn functions use wifi/data. Windows and doors require bluetooth.

Not sure but I thought the horn/lights use to require bluetooth also. If they pushed that to the top row maybe others will follow? I think the logic maybe that you do not want to open the windows or trunk from a different country. The horn sure it is not a security breach. I open the windows before I get in on a hot day but where I can see it. I have opened the trunk to drain the drain tubes after a rain also. Need to see that. I have not had any problems with the bottom row since I got it but that does not mean other do not.

They do. There seems to be some misinformation floating around.
The following three functions work at any distance, as long as the car and your phone both have a data connection:
Lock, Unlock, Remote Start

The following functions only work when you're connected to the car via bluetooth, which has a working range of probably 30 feet:
Windows up, Windows down, Horn & Lights, Trunk

All of these work as described for me.

Let's fact check this. I suspect iOS gets remote horn/lights Android does not. Does that seem correct?

Everyone in NA is on 3.24. And obviously ... there are issues with FordPass.

Does PAAK work for you? Just curious whether it might all be tied in together.

I think it has been determined you have an android not an iphone. Previous page pics i7 active with no bluetooth; my s8 no. As noted this maybe something new to 3.24. Will give it back for carplay 3.22 .

Separate development paths for iOs and Android should result in separate version numbers imo. But what do I know? I just use the things.

Yes. Most of the time.

I did not do the recent recall yet, but I had the two SSMs for Bluetooth and the driver door done.
