My GT PE shows "In Production In Process" with a build week of 7/11/21 and I'm still trying to secure an EVSE. I have a quote from my electrician to wire the 240V outlet for the portable charger and to hardwire the EVSE. I'm guessing I'll see the vehicle around the end of August/early September based on others experience with build and transit times. The Chargepoint still shows backordered 4-5 weeks on their website, and the last information I saw about the Ford Connected Charge Station showed availability early June 2021 which obviously came and went. Does anyone have any insight on when either of these EVSEs will be available? My dealer place an order for two of the Ford units in January 2021. I just don't want to have to have the electrician make two trips to complete the job.

I called the Parts Department at a local dealer to ask about buying the FCCS. He told me he didn't have any and his suppliers didn't have an ETA... But then he offered to check other area dealers' inventories and he provided that info to me.

I called up one of the other dealers he mentioned and sure enough, they had a few in stock and sold me one.

Anyway, start with your Parts Department. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I will check around.

I ordered the plug-in 14-50 flex directly from Chargepoint on June 14. It showed a 4-5 week back order but I received an email on July 1st saying it was shipped. Should be here today.

My Ford dealer here in Florida called me a few weeks back asking if I wanted to repurchase me Ford Connect chargers since they had a firmware update to fix the one I returned to them bricked.

If cost is no option either would be fine. I have a 40 amp Grizzl-E but 48amps and the Ford charger looks better. The only thing is the Grizzl-E has a longer cable and as the wife likes to park nose in the 4 feet make a difference in dragging across the hood or on the ground.

Another thing to consider is my First Grizzl-E and my Ford bricked. Had to use the charger that came with the car for a few weeks, nice to have a 14-50 outlet and not hard wiring.

Mounting the CPHF is super simple. If you decide to go plug in I would schedule the electrician to install the outlet and get the CPHF ordered. If the EVSE shows up before the electrician, have them mount it. If not, just mount it yourself.
The install guide can be found here: https://www.chargepoint.com/resourc...g-installation-video-nema-6-50-14-50-outlets/

Yes that's why I'm having them install a 14-50 outlet along with the hardwired EVSE. I agree having a backup charging option is well worth it.

I reached out to the service manager at a dealership I know and got the following response. LOL ADM on a charger.........

"Just got word back from our parts department, we do not have this on hand but XXXXXXX Ford does show to have 1 in stock. They will sell it to us but way over MSRP not sure how they are pricing it out to us but our price would be $1050.00 plus tax and freight. We do have an outside sales person going that way so we could save a bit on freight if we waited for pick up next Monday. If I were you I would call them up and see if you can get it for MSRP or what they would sell it to you for?? I had them check for regular shipping from Ford and there is no inventory out there right now."

Looks like it's the same situation as Chargepoints on Amazon. I'll wait it out a little longer until I get an ETA on the Mach-E.

I ordered the ChargePoint Home Flex on May 30 (it was backordered). I received it yesterday, so it took 5 weeks + 1 day to arrive.

Ah, if my due-in-October MME would only arrive so quickly!

Wow.

I picked mine up in person and paid $799 minus $30 (service coupon on dealer's web site) minus several hundred in FordPass Rewards points that I redeemed for this.
