Just got an email back from my dealer Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, MI

"We currently have 21 reservations and yours is the only Premium model reservation." Thought that was interesting, I'm wondering if everyone else is a GT or FE? I can see the GT being a really strong number of those 20 others.

Mine is actually an order now, got the confirmation on my Ford.com account. Per the dealer "Your reservation will be going into our Ford Web Based Ordering System as of today."
I had meant to ask my dealer on their reservation stats as well last time we spoke, but I forgot. I know back in November/December they only had around 8, very curious where it is now and how many are converting. My area isn't big on EVs, so I wasn't expecting very many.

Anyone else in detroit getting negative dealer adjustment? I see multiple dealers (including the one I'm ordering from, Suburban) posting a -$2850.60 under difference to total MSRP. That's more than A-plan!

So update on this, it's actually real! BUT - it's employee A-plan pricing. Suburban Ferndale and some other Michigan dealers opted to show employee pricing because of how high the percentage of employee A-plan buyers there are.
I work at Ford so this price actually rings true for me, but I'm curious how this will work for those that don't have an A-plan code.

EDIT* Forgot to mention, the dealer has 27 reservations and I was the first order to show up in their system!

Nice. I wasn't expecting that much discount. Happy, Happy. ? Maybe the wife boss will let me get the AWD option.

I keep hearing people refer to the FE package as if it is one of the model designations. When I read the ordering guide, it sure seems like the First Edition is an option package on a premium model. I take that to mean that all FE cars are Premium models.

Similar to the GTO package on a oPontiac Tempest. The early and later years were an option package and not their own model. The mid year GTOs were their own model as designated by their own VIN prefix of 242

I guess we will know for sure when the VINs begin to flow. I suspect all FE models will have the VIN code for Premium. Is that info available anywhere that you are aware of?

Yes, you're right about the FE (301A) being a package on top of the Premium trim (300A). I guess we all get caught up in the marketing hype and the fact that the FE is treated separately on the Ford website and in the ordering/reservation process.

I have not seen any internal details on VIN codes at this point. But I thought I remembered someone posting something about VIN codes online. I'd have to search for it.

Edit: found it.

Looks like the FE and Premium AWD both have the same body code.

I just noticed what I circled in red. It confused me because on my order confirmation it said 11/18, and I knew I placed the order on 11/17 as soon as I could. Anyone else like me that shows the different date of 11/18 like that?

Yes. Mine flip flopped the 17th and 18th dates too. It went back and forth depending on where I was looking. I'm not worried about it.

Same date issue, but funny you got a 4,000 number and your e-mail is a bit after mine. That's what lead to my thinking of the numbers not being quite sequential.

The res numbers could be region related maybe?

Thank you for taking the time to locate this chart. Very cool.
Confirms that all First Editions are Premium models. This will help keep the insurance companies in line because they would likely want to charge higher premiums for a limited production model if it in fact had it's own VIN sequence.

I further suspect the VIN sequence will be shared with Premium models so it's likely that production will start with Premiums and FEs will be mixed in as appropriate based on time stamp and confirmation that a reservation was converted to an order.

The Aug 31st deadline to convert a reservation to an FE is interesting. That may mean that Ford is planning to reallocate the specific FE parts to other orders if the original placeholder backs out or switches to a different model. When all the brake calipers, sill plates and seats are gone then I presume the doors will close on the FE option package.

It will be fun to see these things out in the wild later this year hopefully....
My dealership said they converted 18 orders so far. That is a fairly healthy number in my opinion.....

Yeah, I had a screwup on my first attempt to reserve and had to start all over, thus 9:55, but that is very curious that my number is lower. Maybe because mine is a premium? FE have different starting numbers?

The FE deadline to convert to an order is July 31st, not August 31st. Ford has said the FE will be produced first (otherwise what's the point of a first edition), then the other trims.

Out of curiosity...how many FE are allocated? Since it’s a limited run, how limited is that number?

Oops. My mistake. So maybe they will roll off the line before anything else. The VINs will tell the story. Excited for start of production already. Maybe early Ausust?

Unknown. Ford has only said it's in the four figures, but that's anywhere from 1,000 to 9,999.
I think most are guessing 3,000-4,000 of the 50k in the production year.
