To tint or not? Any regrets?

After 3-4d of having the tint and windshield done, I am happy to report that the car is noticeably cooler following time in the direct sunlight. Not "cool" by any means, but reasonably warm and only taking 1-2 min to cool to a regular temp once the AC is on. Nice also to have a bit of privacy while driving around town and not having to meet every gawker's gaze

I like tint. But even here in Arizona where it would be useful, tinting front windows is limited by law.

Did the max in CA which is only 70%. I drive up and down the coast and it makes a huge difference in heat coming in, plus the windows just look "slick" with a bit of tint. 250 at my local place, used top of the line 3M.

Hawaii allows only 65%. I did the side front windows. While the darkness levels are noticeably different, it's not in the slightest bit a bad look. Happy with it.

I got my car done today. Not the best picture, just took it while I was walking up to the shop.

This is 25% ceramic all around (front/rear/back window) Made such a huge difference in regards to the amount of heat coming in through the side windows.

I had thought about just getting the two front windows done to match, but the other windows don't have any heat rejecting so I figured what the heck. Not to mention I don't like people being able to look into my back seats. Another upside, I can get rid of that stupid cover in the back. lol

Tint, another big thing is people don't talk about. Keep down on the dust build-up also.

Had the front windows tinted. $100 (Georgia). Looks much better in my opinion.

I did it. I love it. Helps keep the inside cool. You can see the difference in my pic 2 Mach-Es side by side . I was on a 7 day 5000 km road trip and he the white one pulled up beside me.

With tint. It improves the aesthetic look of a car also.

So far I'm liking it, only negative thing I've ran across is that I get really bad "mirror" effect in the drivers window. The light colored trim has almost a mirror reflection on the glass which crosses right at my mirror. Its actually super distracting.. I might end up blacking out just that small section, or maybe I'll give it a few more weeks to see if I get used to it.

This is 25% on all 5 windows, and the 2 tinny quarter panel windows.

LOL Well... No.. At least not for the front windows. The darkest you can go on the front in CA is 70%. The back windows you can spray paint black if you wanted too.

I used to have a F150 and it had 35% on the front windows for 4 years, never had any issues. The place that does my tint said 35% was the sweet spot where police won't care too much when I did my truck. This time though he was like "25% will look great" so I was like sure!

There are SOOOOOOOOOOO many people with super dark tint all around. I guess technically it gives probable cause to pull you over. If you get caught speeding or something, you are pretty much guaranteed a ticket or maybe two.

Here is the annoying reflection I was talking about. I don't remember this showing up before the window tint. I think the fact its so dark it just reflects really bad.

What I didn’t expect with the tint was for the defrosting lines on the rear window to be so accentuated and to distort the lights behind me at night so much. Not sure if I can deal with it long term.
