Hi All,
I know there have been a lot of topics like this but I still wasnt able to find a solution.
i bought my Mache CA Rt1 a month ago.
1. The max range it shows is 260 miles at 100% battery. I have completed 1200 mi (3.5 mi/kwh, Bay area, CA).
2. Also did reset the ev history at start.
3. Use 1P driving, Whisper/Engage 80% of the time.
Is it normal to be 40 miles shy of EPA estimate? And then improves in next 6 months? How were your experiences?

Depends on where, when, and how you drive, there are many factors affecting the range. I've got a range from 1.8 to 5.6mi/kWh (AWD) on different roads, and an average 3.3mi/kWh for the last 5000 miles.

You're doing fine. The GOM will begin reflecting your conditions as time wears on. ATM, it has very little data and also heavily weights the most recent trips. Give it a few thousand miles or so.

I am based in Bay area, California. The temperatures here as of now are usually 78-90 F. The conditions are pretty ideal.

What is the avg. range you get now? 280 mi?
I have been driving mostly in city. I just made a 2h away trip. But usually it is short 15 mins-1h max

Do you drive with a pretty heavy foot? Fast starts and quick stops will use more energy than smoother and slower take-offs and stops. Drive with the AC really, really cold?

I think that's your problem. :) Personally I put that much on my car most weeks. I have had mine 2 months and am approaching 8,000 Miles. It rebases very quickly for me. once it has long driving histories with good efficiency. I have noticed often times the GOM will ignore short trips under 10 miles.

My CA Rt1 is approaching 6k miles and consistently shows 300+ miles of range.

Been commuting again (round trip about 40 miles).

Of course it isn't called the GOM for nothing.. I'd just ignore it.

3.5 * 88 = 308

The guess-o-meter is broken, as has been stated on dozens of threads.

Ignore the f*ing thing

88 x 3.00 is 270 miles Range. 88 x 3.5 miles per kWh is 308 miles.

Go by miles per kWh. Reset one of the trip meters before you leave for the day.

I'm also in the Bay Area with a CA Route 1 with about 1,900 miles. My GOM has never registered 300 miles yet, always in the high 200s. I've been using the kWh to calculate range and I'm at 4.4 kWh. I charge to 90% per the manual. So I calculate:

4.4 kWh × 79 kWh (90% of 88) = 348 miles

I'd appreciate seeing 300+ miles on the GOM but I feel pretty confident that I'm exceeding the 305 miles advertised by a pretty healthy margin.

Got mine to this value once, but it was not realistic for the trip I took. I only charge to 80% on a regular basis, and typically see somewhere between 240-280 miles at that level.

I don't think I do. I use 1P driving, in whisper/engage mode most of the time. (70-75mph). Just 20% of the times i brake strong, when the 1P doesn't slow down as needed. Butthanks, helpful

Oh! Good to know. This helps. I just want that peace of mind, that this car goes for >305 mi, as it would affect my planning for the trips. Also 4.4 is awesome. I average 3.4-3.5.
