Definitely frustrating. I tried to activate it on Saturday when it was sitting in the dealership and got the same errors you are seeing. I chalked it up to being in transport mode, but thinking back it's the app that appears to be the issue, not the vehicle itself. The salesperson said it's been a common issue and thought they're either doing updates to the software or it's being overloaded by requests at times.It’s been over 24 hours now. Yes, I make sure the Mach-E is selected. Yes, manage EV tab is there.
Right now both tablet and phone are 10 hours since last update.
Is it randomly doing that or consistently? I'm hitting similar behavior with Journeys when the trip is pretty long (i.e. 150km+), it would show this error which seem to show up when request to the FordPass backend servers are taking too long to respond.

It takes two weeks for App Store review alone. Unfortunately, it’s just the nature of making apps that local bugs will take a while to fix.
