Best San Diego/SoCal Dealership?

I'm currently in the process of ordering online and looking for a dealership within San Diego county that wouldn't try to take advantage (this is only the 2nd time I'm buying a car and my negotiation skills are non-existent). I did my test drive with Mossy Ford since they're the only ones that has them in stock, so I originally placed my order through them (order placed a few days ago, not accepted yet), but since they charge ADM for the Mach-Es in their lot, I'm worried that they will try something when the car gets delivered. I did get an email from my sales guy that there will be no ADM for any online orders, but he can't confirm any financing incentives/OTD price since a lot of things can change in a few months. To be fair, this salesman has been helpful so far and responsive.

Does anyone have any experience with this dealership, or would recommend any others in SD area instead? Are there any that offer X-plan? Thanks!

A lot of dealers will include ADM on vehicles sitting on their lot, but not customer orders (meaning, when you special order the car and wait for months). You should see when you place the online order if there is ADM, and I think it would be wise to also separately confirm that there is no ADM in writing with someone at the dealership at the very beginning.

If your dealer will confirm in writing no ADM on ordered cars, that should be fine. As to not confirming the incentives in advance, the sales guy is correct that the incentives in place can change quarterly. So far they haven't changed each quarter, but to me it's actually good that he's absolutely they'll still be in place when your car arrives.

I have active orders with Encinitas and they have been great the whole way so far... That said, I can't attest to the purchase process quite yet...can't wait to, tho .

Original order was with Perry Ford of Poway because of their distance to my home.

After numerous “communication” issues, lack of knowledge regarding Ford Options… I decided to forgo the headache and purchased a cancelled order off the lot of Kearny Mesa Ford. I did this primarily over text as I was traveling in AZ, at the time.

They honored my X-Plan pricing. The only “gotcha” was the original purchase of the car opted to have the ceramic coating. Oh no — was planning on doing that anyhow.

Wesley was my dude. Great guy, great attitude on life.

Btw, I have an order for a GTPE in GB with all options scheduled to arrive around 11/23. Production date 10/18. I won't be taking that one as I decided to order a '22 in RR.

There is no ADM on orders, but they do add ADM to cars on the lot. They had over $20k on a Star White MME GT that was a cancelled order. Not sure if it sold.

I've been using Rhonda Haman and she's been a great communicator so far.

I have not dealt with finance yet, obvi. So time will tell. I plan to use Options if the rates and incentives are still as advantageous as they have been.

Wasn't Encinitas the one trying to sell an IB mannequin with over 4000 miles at MSRP as new and w/o the federal incentive.

If you're willing to drive a bit Galpin seems to know how to do things, all MachE goes through a single guy and he even is the "finance" guy so he says so there is no awkward handoff. Also as until 2019 Galpin was the largest Ford dealership in the world so their allocation should be pretty good.

Okay, that’s a bit more reassuring. I wasn’t sure if he’s being vague just so they can pull some tricks last minute lol. Based on what I read from other threads, it seemed like people would sign contracts and finalize pricing upon ordering but that wasn’t the case for me. I ordered online and my sales guy just said you’re good, now we wait…

Thanks for the insight. I called Kearny Mesa as well but the guy I talked to didn’t even seem interested in helping me out. He basically said nope, we don’t have any MME, goodbye.
