Do I get a 2nd Keyfob?

Is there a Ford bulletin that discusses who and when, by production date, gets 2 key fobs instead of 1? I asked my salesperson and she asked for something she can give her Ford rep.

July 7th and later build dates get 2 fobs. Your salesperson should be able to look up the build date, or you can yourself with the Trackers on this forum if you haven't taken delivery yet.

Thanks for pointing me to this. I knew I previously read it but my searches couldn’t find it. BTW, my in-production date was 06/28 but built date was 07/16.

I purchased the key protection plan and did lose the key. Later I found it.

Maybe see if you can get by with one before you spend cash on the second fob and having it programmed. (The fob was like $80 but the programming was $172 for me.) I’ve found that PaaK is a really variable thing among owners. It works great for me, and I leave the fob for my wife. I’ve never used my own fob at all, and now I kind of wish I’d just saved the money.

I would think that they would always clear lost keys for security reasons. If somebody found the lost key they could drive away with the car.

Yeah but somehow didn't happen in @Chuck's case? ?

I saw the post on the 2nd keyfob provided by Ford. So I called my salesperson. He told me unfortunately I only get one key, but I did receive 22,000 Fordpass rewards points for buying the car and could use those toward a key or programming. I went online and bought a key for $70 shipped and used the fordpass points to pay for the programming. Done for $70 now I have two keys


My car was built in February delivered in March.

It's ridiculous Ford is now providing a second fob. The rest of us get screwed. Paak is a POS and they know it. Talk about screwing first adopters.
