[OTA] 1.7.1 Appears to be incoming

I have the notes app, but still no front trunk button in the app. I did not check the screen.

It won't show up in the app until you get the RFA module update. That hasn't come as an OTA yet.

All modules up to date for me but I have no frunk button anywhere. I think they must have changed something server-side so that it won't show up

That is definitely a possibility as well. Small stuff like this could be part of the reason for a pause in the rollout of the OTA as well. They might have made some changes to not populate that button yet.

You know, I'm quite satisfied with my car in its current form, don't need notes/tic-tac-toe, and am not all that bothered by the various Sync bugs. And yet, I can't stop refreshing to see if 1.7.1 is available. Help!

Well, electronic front trunk release is totally useless unless it’s available from outside the vehicle. The in-vehicle electronic release is either inside the front trunk (which is pretty inconvenient), or buried in the menus (which is just as bad). I may as well keep pulling the 1980s hood release.

The button on the screen doesn't function yet either. It will take a module update to actually make it functional on the app or on the screen.

I suspect that is why they are changing it to not show when you get the update now. It was probably causing a lot of people to complain that the button didn't work.

Only if you have the cassette tape player option

It will be available from outside the car as well with the 7-8 button on the door.

Enjoyed SXM alerts finally working correctly today ?

Too bad 1.7.1 didn't give an option for the 360 cameras to activate automatically at low speed to assist parking. Otherwise known as "work correctly" or "the way Toyotas have worked for years now"

I would gladly sacrifice notes, games, securilert, & journeys for this function. ?

I would love for the front camera to come on when you go from Reverse to Drive... my Mercedes did it. It was amazing.

Mine stays on when switched from reverse to drive and stays that way until you pass the speed threshold. What I specifically want is the option for it to come on when speed drops below a certain (slow) threshold. That means it's on when you pull in to a parking spot vs having to tap the screen two or three times to manually activate it. It's very helpful in my wife's Lexus and would be especially useful when pulling in to a charging station.

Yeah, it would be nice if it switched to the front though when you went to drive and kept it on until you hit 10mph with the pano cam.
