I want to add my wife's phone as a Paak. Just wondering if the procedure is the same as for the first Paak. The manual does not address this specifically so I am assuming it can be done and that its the same I just don't want to screw up my phone by adding another phone.

Each driver profile can have a phone for sure. I don't know about the setup if you have profiles turned off or just want to share the same profile but I will likely find out in the next couple of days as I have a need for two phones on the same profile.

Gawd, I already hate carrying the one phone. A second one would make me bare my teeth and tear them both apart. ?

It's going to be part of a slow-ish (meaning not immediate) migration to a new phone.

You can only put one phone in a profile so she will have to have her own profile.

OK so that is what I thought. I assume I need to download Ford Pass to her phone. And I guess I need to create a different Ford Pass account as well?

Yes.

While you may not need two different accounts, if you do so then you don't need to worry about her changing a setting (such as turning off, or on, Plug N Charge) because the primary account controls things like that.

You do not need a second account as long as she has the password for the first account. The car supports 3 profiles. Create a profile for her and add her phone to that profile.

Here's an update: So I added my wife's phone to the car. Everything seemed to go well. We then took a drive today and I used Google maps on Apple CarPlay. But after we made a stop CarPlay went on the fritz. I could see the instructions on the phone and hear them through the car speakers as if there was a connection but the CarPlay app was a blank white box on the screen. I did the usual. Turned the car off waited turned it back on. I did a hard reset on my phone. No luck. Then I thought I would try to have the phone forget the Bluetooth connection but I couldn't. Bluetooth kept flipping between detecting and connected but there was no way to get into the Bluetooth menu for the MachE on the phone as it flipped back and forth. As a last resort I decided to remove my phone from the phone list all together but when I tap on remove and then tap yes nothing happens. I did it a half dozen times and nothing. Now I have a phone that no longer works as Paak or as anything else and I can't seem to remove it so that I can re-add it. Not sure where to go from here.

To add salt to the wound on the way home a warning came up on the screen that the Front Camera was not working and it required service so front end collision avoidance was not available ( and of course Intelligent cruise control was unavailable too).

I'm not sure if any of this was connected to the addition of my wifes phone but what a mess. Look like I'll be using the Key fob for now and making a trip to the dealer

This may not be related to the second phone. You may want to search other conversations on the forum for carplay issues. I have android and find that, if I want to switch to another phone, it will flip back like you described. To avoid this, I always disable android auto then switch phones.

Make sure to have the person without the keyfob set up their backup key code. I put a contact on my phone which contains the door code and backup key code. PaaK will fail at the most inconvenient times.

Yes, many of us have done this since deliveries started in earnest in February.
