Is Mach E your 1st Special Order car?

I always bought cars off the dealers lot. The Mach E order process and delays were excruciatingly painful but I have nothing to compare against. This was a first time for me.

Yup. This will be my 2nd ever new car purchase. I tend to drive 'em until it's time for pasture. The last time I bought new it was off the lot and not even in the color I would've preferred. I was naive, too, and those sharks got everything they wanted out of me.

The ordering aspect is a long game for sure, but I've enjoyed the journey. If all goes well, I'll reach the finish line in a few weeks.

Second. My 2011 Explorer was ordered from the dealer in Madison WI and manufactured in Chicago so didn’t take long to get it.

Generally we bought off the lot, including our Motorhomes a(which can be risky business for RVs) . The gambles of doing that worked out well considering they have reputations for delays and horrible builds.

My Audi Q5 is 11 years old so it has been awhile since ordering a car. This is trying my patience, but like I said before, I am so impressed with my Audi and their service, I dread giving that up, especially how this MME experience filled with anxiety. I know it’s not all Fords fault. It’s obvious this is new to them too. But their communication skills are totally off the mark. Can you imagine Tesla allowing their sales service to do whatever they want with their loyal customers Like Ford allows with their dealerships? I don’t thinnnnnk so…

Nope. The first special order we made was a Jeep Wrangler from a dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I won’t mention the people at the Stoneridge Jeep dealer. They ordered it for us, then never called. I finally called them and they literally had no idea why that Jeep was there or who it might have been intended for. Yes we had put a deposit down too.

The Mach-e went far better out here.

No. My 2006 Stang GT was special ordered with wing delete and back then it took about 8-12 weeks.

I saw the dealer add that they are selling GT for msrp and discount.......... I visited him.... he said ok ....... you don't like the color anyway.......... im sure you understand what it means..........
But at least he allowed me to test drive his select.......... I liked it........ definitely better then tesla.........

My wife and I have bought 4 new cars, but never a special order before. I am still waiting for a build date, but I have received the letter that my 2021 order has been changed to a 2022.

Yes but I didn't take delivery. I found someone elses order twice.

I ordered a 911 a few months back so that will be the first car I have ordered that I will actually take delivery of...probably...

I test drove 2 premiums and 1 GT. My wife leased me a Tesla model 3. For a few days. She wanted me to "be sure" before we ordered our Mach E. The ME was head and shoulders above the Tesla. To us anyway. I cant wait to get it. Maybe March/April 2022 or later. It will be a glorius day.
