I've seen so many posts here where people have named their cars. While I once named a car "Betsy", for humorous reasons, I have never thought about giving a car a name beyond that.

So I'm curious as to how many of you have named your cars.

My truck came with a name from the previous owner, so that has carried over. We also named our scooters, but the Mach-E is the first of our cars to get a name. We have decided on Blücher, after the Young Frankenstein character (neeeiiigh.) Also, it is a play on "blue car."

Name them? Depends on your PoV. I guess so. I sometimes used to refer to my Fiero as “The Flea” because it was small. I sometimes call the Blazer “Big Ugly” for obvious reasons. It’s also sometimes called the “Dog House on Wheels.” My Trans Am is either “Trans Am” or “Firebird” so no name there. My Coupe de Ville was just the “Cadillac” so no name there. The Fusion is usually the “Fusion” but sometimes the “Foozhun.”

I don’t have my MME yet but I assume I’ll just call it “Mach-E.”

I named my first two cars. Current car is not named. I might name my Mach-E. We'll see if it speaks to me.

I wonder if this is a generational thing. I've never named my cars.

My first few cars didn't get names, but my second mustang got the overly common name "Sally" and I've continued the tradition with the 2 mustangs that have followed (Onyx and Scarlett). The Focus in between wasn't named either. My wife doesn't name her vehicles, although we typically refer to them as "van" or "truck" as appropriate. Basically the boring and unattractive vehicles aren't worthy of naming.
