Thank you everyone. I got back from the dealer. Out eating with my wife. So, I drove it. The car operated fine and I still want it.

Long and the short of it, a metal piece of debris flung up on the road and cracked the front fascia. It’s not as horrible as the dealer made it sound. So….. we have to order a new “grill” and the front bumper. They said it will take a week. I lol’d. So we’ll see. I didn’t take delivery but the GM said she will make things right with me. She also said she would give a good deal to my wife who wants an Edge ST. Ongoing saga but not as bad as my imagination thought. It will not go on carfax so there won’t be any diminished value. I haven’t paid for anything so I can still walk if they don’t hold up their bargain but after driving it, I want it

Still grumping here. I called my dealer this morning and spoke with the Fleet Manager. I asked him for the VVR for my car. He said that my car was in Fresno. I told him that my car has been in Fresno since Thursday morning. He looked at the date on the report and agreed, then said that it’s not impossible for it to be in transit but there was no information past Thursday morning. He said that he couldn’t be sure about a lot, but there were deliveries scheduled to come in this week. The first one has no MMEs on it, the next couple were not concrete yet.

Gr-rrr! My car was last sighted less than 200 miles from its final train depot almost 5 days ago. John Suter’s Iditarod Poodle team could have pulled the car up to Richmond in way less time. Grumpy that there is no logic in the transpo. ??

Dealer told me the transport companies are moving used cars before new because of the money, no money in new cars for the dealers when they can make thousands selling used.....

I’ve been taught my whole life that patience is a virtue…but my virtuous patience is running extremely thin now. As of this post, we are “13” days from our estimated delivery date of 11/22…but have heard NOTHING from our sales associate. Can’t even get a VVR from him or a returned phone call.
