The FE package is $6600. See attached.
All First Editions are built on the Premium AWD K3S $52,700
Equipment Group 301A adds the extended range battery (99U $5000) and the appearance package ($1600).
Although most people have added on the ER battery to their Premiums anyway, thus just +$1600 more for the FE. It is a little weird how they do the grouping on those packages though.

I find it simpler just to think of an FE as:
$50,000 Premium
$2,700 AWD
$5,000 ER Battery
$1,600 FE appearance pkg

If what you say comes true, it will be really a mess. I believe these are unconverted units and Ford is trying make a fixed number and sell them ahead through orders - just my thoughts.

I would be only interested (most are like me I assume) if they deliver these Mach Drop units with other FEs before the end of the year. If not I might as well wait for my premium. Very few would order these just for the FE trim and take delivery later than premiums.
That's my guess too. Just picking numbers out of thin air... let's say they capped North American FE reservations at 2000, and 1600 followed through with orders. Leaving 400 unordered. They simply make all 2000 as planned in Oct/Nov, and now they're looking for homes for those 400. (400 doesn't sound like a huge number, but it is $24M worth of vehicles.)

My dealer accepted Order Page for the FE in Grabber Blue (NC Paint)

Base MSRP $59,300

Destination and Delivery Charges $1,100

Total MSRP $60,400

Difference from Total MSRP

Dealer Selling Price††††††† $60,400

So, the same as your numbers after adding Destination & Delivery

Nope. That's another unknown. At this point it certainly appears that the NA First Editions will come first. What we don't know is if they keep the First Edition line going and switch to the EU/UK First Editions before the NA Premiums or vice versa. Either way, the EU/UK First Editions will be the first EU/UK cars built.
Thanks for the reply.
Remember, from a manufacturing perspective, the FEs and PEs can roll down the line together. The idea or concept of "switching" production from FE to PE is non existent. It might happen that way but isnt absolutely necessary.

We are nearly certain that all FEs will have the PE VIN sequence so they could easily be assembled at the same time without any need to segregate production batches.

Ford responded to me on Twitter and told me to “follow Mach Drop clues”...whatever the heck that means. It probably means, “call your dealer”.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford is opening up some more First Edition Mach-E orders 035E61A4-DB42-42C9-BD14-6E859138315F

I called my dealer, hours after I called the machdrop phone number to check to see if they updated my order to the FE and they said they knew nothing about it. Not holding my breath that it is going to go through. Not the end of the world, I still love the Premium I already ordered.

This looks like some marketing guy's terrible idea of a promotion. They think they're being fun and cute with "clues". But this isn't a game of trying to get a free burger, it's the purchase of a $60 grand car. ?

At the risk of letting you know how old I am, I remember when I was just out of college and a 1968 Mustang Fastback was MSRP $2,818 and they would deal down on that price.

Agree - the end purpose is to sell these few extra vehicles - they could have just made it easier and be done in a few hours than the mystery chase the clues stuff. Perhaps a 20 year old running the campaign .... people spending 60K on cars are not spending time on twitter, instagram or facebook or other social media. ...

Seems they have been copy-pasting that reply to everyone's question. At least they are being consistent now, not helpful, but consistent.

I'm not sure how saying to call a certain number is a clue, sounds more like an instruction.

Agreed - if they want to up sell and convert more orders, be clear and easy...if they want to tease us about new features or sneak peek images, then a scavenger hunt marketing tactic is fine.

I called the number listed earlier, the person that I talked to was very nice and very accommodating. I explained I had an order in work and wanted to convert it to an FE order, she said I would be able to do that. She even asked what color I wanted. She said she would be contacting my dealer to work with them on arranging that. I told her that I don't do instagram, twitter, etc, and she said not a problem.
This "clues" stuff above is BS, I don't know where they get off doing crap like that. The fact that SD_Solar and others are making progress makes me very hopeful that I will get my Mach E this year rather than next. My reservation was on 1/1, not that long after 11/17.

Same experience here. I called the dealer first and while they said they would look into it, called the 800 number and it went exactly as you describe. Hoping now that the process actually works between Ford and the dealer.

I'm about a decade behind you. My first new car was a 1977 Chevy Monza. $4659, IIRC. $98/mo payments, and that was tough back then!

I contacted my dealer as well. he is sending my FE order to the Program HQ to get it queued up. if it gets confirmed for allocation and scheduling, they will cancel my original order. He said he will not touch my original order until it gets confirmed. He also asked me for color options not just GB.

He did send me a buyers guide to sign and send back. At this point it's just worth signing and hoping to get FE and worth it. I do have a low 5000 order number so hopefully it works!
