Well that is why I said usability. The linked reference is actually different from the one I had read earlier, but basically said the same thing.
You also have to keep in mind it was running against much larger cars, that if I'm not mistaken, were designed for police use. The MME Ford has testing is the same thing any of us could buy from what I've read. They could very easily make a cruiser variant and address the majority of their concerns.
Not necessarily true. If the cockpit is not adjustable enough then that can run a high risk of having equipment failure when officers are trying to get in or out of the car quickly. Have to think of all the crap they have to carry on them. If they don't have the clearance it could be pretty uncomfortable for the officers.It's certainly far more fuel efficient when "idling", which probably counts for more than "environmental control clarity" and steering wheel adjustments.
