Significance of hash marks around the grille?

I’ve been meaning to ask for some time. I have a 2021 Premium ER AWD. In all the literature and photos of the Mustang Mach E, there are hash marks going around the black insert on the grille. My black insert does not have those hash marks. Any idea why?

Hash marks? Sounds like a change-up of laundry detergent is indicated. Or of underwear.

If you’re talking about the “mustache” insert around the Pony emblem, the Premium has a glossy insert while the Select and CA Rt 1 have an insert with hashes. You can see it on the current ordering page.

Here are photos of my grille. Sorry for the delay in getting these posted. It does look like @Tim_C answered the question. I just wish they’d put different graphics for things like the wake up and calm screens on Premiums since they have a different grille.

I think you're thinking about the select grille. For some reason that's whats used in all the in car graphics is what I've noticed. Even on the GT. They didn't care enough to make that unique per trim. Or make the color of the car unique in sync 4.

Thanks. Until now, I didn’t know the select grille was different. I was just under the impression that my hash marks would arrive in the BlueCruise/Frunk (god I hate that word) release button PowerUp ????

Not just Selects, my CA Rt1 has them too:

I kind of like them over the smooth glossy of the premium...gives it some texture.

RT1 is an extended range select basically so makes sense.

Yeah. It kills me that the grill on the screen is wrong for my Premium.

It's to make the mustache look more like a real mustache

RT1 is an extended range select basically so makes sense.

Yup its a "fancy" select lol.

Also includes the "tech" package by default so you do get Blue Cruise without having to get an option.
