Abducted by alien Mach E reservation holders who couldn’t figure out Mach-drop? Let’s hope he hasn’t been “probed”.
While we are waiting . . . .I just want to know if anyone picked up on the "Probe" pun. Interesting reading and parallels on Wikipedia to the Mustang/Probe controversy in the 80's while we are trying to kill time to see if he comes back . . .

The weekend is over. Time for the report! :)
Hate to say it, but the ride didn't happen yet. Hopefully I can get another date/time set.

I knew many people with various models of the Probe (even my future wife at the time had one)--they were all red for some reason LOL.

During that time frame I had an Eagle Talon TSi AWD...I beat every Probe I raced LOL.

I assume you tried it but can't say anything but if you say you tried it but can't say anything, you will get another 100 questions "ok I understand but just tell...." so that's ok for me :).

Hope you enjoyed your ride ;)

I bought a 1992 Ford Probe LX (3.0L V-6 from the Taurus). I was only 19 at the time and it was my first new car purchase. I wanted a Mustang 5.0 - the dealer wanted to put me in one, but then I called around for insurance quotes! The insurance was even outrageous on anything turbo, which is why I didn't get the Probe GT or anything like the Talon TSi.

It ended up being a great car. I kept it until 2008 and put over 216,000 miles on it with no major mechanical issues. I even took it to England when I was stationed there and got to drive all over Europe in it.

Attached are two photos - 1 in Arizona I think in a snowstorm - I was driving home from Onizuka AFB in CA to NC to see family for CHristmas.

The other is in the Alps (The Dolomites in Italy believe).

I drove an 89 Ford Probe in the 90's as well. It was in an accident early in its life, so it had some issues, but it was my first car so I'll always remember it.

An engineer friend has one for the weekend and offered to show it off and take me for a spin. Does anyone have any questions for me to ask on your behalf? I’ll try to get some videos.
Yes; please report on the color. I'm curious how *metallic* the paint is on infinite blue & grabber blue- if either of those end up being your ride.

Is there going to be a receptacle to plug in a maintenance charger to the 12-volt battery or is there easy access to the 12-volt battery? Reason asking...when out of town for extended periods don't want to come home to a dead 12-volt battery.

The solution to that for Ford's other plugins was easy: Leave the car plugged in and leave the preconditioning times setup.

Then every day at some time early in the morning the car automatically "wakes up", "starts" and runs for 15-30 minutes. While it is "awake" the DC-DC converter is on and charging the 12V battery.

If you don't want it to run every day you could set it to only run on Mondays, or Thursdays, or whatever.

In any case you would arrive home to all the batteries being charged.

With the Focus Electric I wouldn't even think about it, just leave all the preconditioning setup and go on vacation.

"patience?" What means "Patience?" Never heard that word before. :p
In this forum, sorry doesn't seem to be the hardest word -- patience does!
