I went to check on my Sept 6th online order for 2022 GT (build date 1/10/2022) which
was converted to a 2022. They had a cancellation on
a 2021 GT PE arriving between 1/28/2022 and 2/5/2022.
I was asked if I wanted the arriving GT PE - same color and options as my order, I just had to
pay the additional $5,000 for the performance package. There was to be no ADM on my original
online order, and there is no ADM on the incoming GT PE.

One strong selling point on all this is that zero percent financing is still available. I was
worried that if my original order took 2-3 more months to arrive, rates might be up
due to inflation.

So, I paid an additional $1000 deposit and got a print out of the window sticker and the
Dealer Order form with all the package prices and final MSRP and a receipt for the deposit.

I looked up the VIN and 4 digit order code on
https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt/
which is supposed to be the trucking company that is used at the end of the second rail ride.
It shows a Load Number, my new Vin, and the destination dealer. The Ford tracking site show in transit.

Do you guys think I did the right thing ? It is a 2021, but I don't think that matters much.
I think I remember hearing that the 2021s won't get the extended useable charging range that just came out (?)
It has the panoramic roof and Co-Pilot 260 Active 2.0, but it should come w/ the improve roof, right?
Any other gotchas that anyone can think of?

Many thanks, this forum has really been invaluable!

I plan to do the awesome rear gloss black hatch wrap that @Mach Daddy showed here: ( I got an estimate for $300 )

I mean that sounds like a pretty good deal. I haven't sat/driven a regular GT, but I can tell you I'm not at all dissatisfied with my PE. I think cars built later in the year like mine or this one you're talking about already had the glass roofs aligned properly because mine sits nice and flush and I get no wind noise from it at all. The Magneride suspension is pretty nice. Firm when you need it to be but pretty supple over bumps. It does get a little bouncy on undulations in the road, but its not bad at all. Honestly, if that were me, I'd probably jump on it.

Yes, thanks. I suspected as much. I did jump on it. I saw some reviews of the PE on youtube that really said good things about MagnaRide, which will matter to DW, as we take long road trips. It
will be interesting to see how long road trips go with this new car. I feel fortunate to have hit on
a really good dealer here in South Central PA, Apple Ford of York. They have good reviews and even got some favorable mentions on some of the GT PE video reviews.

Careful planning those road trips just yet. Winter range in my GTPE hasn’t been super stellar

I would have done this trade without a second thought. I wouldn’t of even had to explain myself to my wife. She would have agreed with me.

:) Well, count yourself lucky.
DW thinks I'm having (another) mid-life crisis and need a toy. LoL
I'm hoping when she drives it (plus magnaride) she will like it.
However, she was afraid of my last sportscar (G37, 328hp 0-60 5.4s),
so she is in for a shock. I think Ill keep it in whisper mode for her.

My wife doesn’t understand the acceleration thrill. She doesn’t like it when I drive like that. She gets motion sick watching others on amusement rides. But she DOES appreciate her car and how nice these things are. She may not drive her car hard, but she does keep it in unbridled.

If the throttle and brakes were as sensitive as my 07 G35 sedan, I can see why. My wife didn’t like driving that one because of it.

She loves driving the GTPE…… in whisper mode of course. Super easy to not drive fast in that mode.

agree, my '08 G37 had a very sensitive throttle and instantly 'grabby' brakes...

One thing to consider, you will need to swap out the tires ASAP, the GTPE comes with summer only rubber which will be unsafe to use for awhile.

GTPE is the only way to drive a mache. Manga ride plane and simple. Worth every penny. The ealier Mach e are all beta testers. ?????.

Why did you pay another 1k ??‍♂

Also I can’t confirm. But I’m sure they already unlocked the gt and GTPE kw. The 21 and 22 get mileage hmmmmm

agree about the MagnaRide. That will hopefully play well w/ DW. :p
The extra 1K was just a deposit. Im going to put half down and finance the rest at zero down/36 months. Good to know about miles/kWh info. I was reading up on it, and its a software update so all good!
