My 2021 has the new charging curve because it was released in a software module update that I had the dealer apply.

Nobody knows if the extra 3 kWh of battery will be made available, but the charging curve improvement is much more important to me. Logic suggests they won't give the extra capacity to the 2021 models just because it allows them to keep their marketing consistent.

So I just got my window sticker for next weeks build.

Ignoring

• Price changes,
• Driver/Passenger side Acoustic glass Delete
• Hands free tailgate sensor Delete
• Standard Floor matts Delete - If you ordered the interior protection package.

I did find a few things different between the 2021 and 2022 GTPE window stickers

Exterior Differences (1 change):

• 2021 Windshield Wiper De-Icer
• 2022 Power liftgate

Functional Differences (2 changes):

• 2021 Comfort Package, Intell Access w/Push Start
• 2022 Mobile power Cord, Upgraded Frt Elect-Motor

So,

Exterior, Power liftgate is on all, but 2021 never referenced hands free, BUT what is Windshield Wiper De-Icer? This was removed or did it just fall off the list because they added Power liftgate?

Functional Differences, I'm thinking the change was for clarity, not deleted in any way.

The window sticker is not a listing of every option that the vehicle has. You cannot compare a 2021 sticker and 2022 sticker and know exactly what the differences are.

The 2022 Mach-E order guide as of 1/3/22 when searched for de-icer shows it as standard equipment starting with the Select model.

You can easily Google 2021 or 2022 and Mach-E Order Guide and compare them if you like. Note that there are often multiple versions each year as they make changes.

Forgive me if I’m wrong (I’ve watched so many EV videos on YouTube it’s ridiculous) but I believe the rear wiper de-icer on the MME is simply an extension of the rear window defogger electric resistive heater lines that snake a path around the window where the wiper normally sits.

The deicer referred to is the FRONT wiper deicer.

Has anyone been able to confirm that the wiper deicer actually exists in their car? I know it's in the specs, but I've confirmed with a thermal camera that the base of the windshield does not heat up when the rear defrost is on.
