I wish they gave me a second key. Had the car for 8 months or so and I am on the fence to get something else or not.

I may end up having the same problems so am stuck. Am thinking polestar 2 or the ocean when it comes out. May also consider Q4 e Tron.

Can't do Tesla though it's way too loud in the cabin.
I ended up forking out almost 400 to get a 2nd key. 277 for the key the taxes and labor cost. That one stung a little. Zero regrets on it but I am hoping ford will admit their mistake and give 2nd fobs out to people and refund the ones of us who did buy one.
Paak just was to flacky mind you huge improvement after the update.

No offense, @Ford Motor Company , but this was a general rant, and they're issues that most of us share. I don't think it's anything that his dealership will be able to help out with.
Just pass our complaints on to the FordPass and software development teams!
hey FoMoCo. I’m happy to share with you how to reproduce these problems and I’m happy to test the fixes….these are BUGS. Not dealer issues.

I have all of these issues.
It doesn’t have to be perfect but it needs to get better…. And honestly it’s not.

Agreed with all the posts above @Ford Motor Company
I already reached out before with feedback about these bugs. Dealer can not fix these, software engineers need to get these ironed out. Maybe @Ford Motor Company should make a nice offer $$$ to an Apple/Tesla/favorite-tech-company software engineer so that someone can get these issues resolved.

I’ve only had my car for two weeks (but already road-tripped so I have a a decent amount of miles under my belt) and have experienced many of these same things. Setting up PaaK was such a pain I made my husband do it. My Sirius XM presets disappear randomly. Great car physically and amazing to drive. I just feel like I’m fighting software half the time.

Latest thing: car doesn’t like to recognize my physical fob! Walk up to the driver door with the fob in a pocket (or handbag sometimes, for me) and the door doesn’t unlock. My husband has a Ford Edge and in two years, it hasn’t had a single instance of the fob not unlocking the door by the time the driver reaches the handle.
Yikes! That's really bad. The other day I had the car out shopping, my wife had the one and only fob (grrrrr). As I went to get into the car it said no key found - then my phone died - expired battery. Crap. Access code got me into the car, but then realized my wife had taken the charging cable out. So.....tried the backup code. No luck. Remembered I changed the code and put it in a phone Note. Crap again. A guy came up to me and rapped on the window and asked how I liked the car.....grrrrr. Bad timing dude.

Went into the store and asked if they had a charger and if I could use. Yes. Charge it / go back to car 'No Key Found'. Pull up backup code on phone - doesn't work! Crap. Went out and kicked a shopping cart for a while. Came back paac worked. Are you kidding me?????

Dealer wants $525 for a programmed new fob. Really!!!!! Unbelievable.

I thought they already got one of the head guys at Tesla a few months ago?

I have owned my premium AWD 4xE for 7 months now and put 13,500 miles on it. Car itself has been absolutely great. However, the software is way behind Tesla. My sister just got a new MY Performance and you can really tell the difference in who focused on software and who didn't. I used to think PaaK wasn't bad, but lately it just sucks. Sync is glitchy as hell and it takes way too long to boot up. OTA updates are non-existent for me. My car has failed twice to update so I am still on 1.7. Hoping when I get the recall done in two weeks the software update fixes allot of this.

I really hope Ford gets it together because I really love the car. Just getting tired of the constant FordPass issues, laggy sync system, no OTA updates and performance numbers that only Ford can achieve.

Now a new one. Twice when I turn off the MME it continues to chime. It seems the headlights were switched on instead of auto. I didn't set it, so something in the software did.

When I picked up the vehicle from service last week, all the radio presents (except satellite) were change to stations that don't exist in this area.

Hopefully the 21P22 will address these. Scheduled in 2 weeks for that.
That's an old one, and a bug. The headlight switch appears to be correctly in the Auto position, but the headlights are on, and it chimes when you get out.

Fix - turn knob to OFF, then back to Auto.

This is not a physical switch, despite looking like one.

Your driver door unlock issue is known, documented, and fixable. Take it to your dealer and ask them to apply SSM 49676. See this post for more information.
Why this doesn't come as an OTA update is a mystery to me, but your dealer can fix it.

Yup. exactly what was necessary.

I'd rather deal with the minor issues that the OP lists over phantom braking, not being able to control the car without a million menus etc.

All vehicles have issues. Tesla is no different and I'm not sure I would want a Tesla lead in charge of software at Ford (other than UI, not UX). I think anyone purchasing a newer, more tech filled car, needs to have some level of patience and understanding. We'll get there one day, but even Tesla with 10 years is still struggling.

This is a great example where @Ford Motor Company's social media presence would note that repeated mention of this bug, and then say "we've reported this up the chain". Of course, then it's an acknowledged problem with legal ramifications.
