And here I thought they all did that since we have a Job 2 4X built 8/30 that’s always had that red bar with the ok button. I can’t imagine not being able to quickly clear those messages with a button push.
You always could, it just didn't look like that

Hey one of the last two updates added the right bar to the dashboard messages:

The red bar on the right with the "Ok" indicator. (Well I hadn't noticed this before so I'm assuming its new...)
That would be the IPC update. Do you have an orange snowflake now too (if it’s cold outside)?

Sweet!! I was hoping the 2.4.3 IPC update would bring this UI change. I wonder if this solves the UI glitch when you start navigation in engage mode.

Question to anyone: do you expect/want release notes to go into this level of detail of things that changed?
Honest answer yes but even as a software developer I know it will never happen. It falls on the list of things that never get done plus in all honesty most of the time we don't even know a lot of the little things in the release. We might know a big feature if we are lucky. The app I work on I am the lead dev and for the last 3 releases I know we have stuff in them but for the life of me I could not tell you what was in each of them. Like most devs we are thinking about the next 2-3 releases ahead and by the time the public gets a release we most likely have been looking at stuff 1-2 releases ahead of them already.

Send me your VIN, DOB, name of your first pet, street you grew up on, and dealers name and I'll see what I can do
I appreciate the humor. I also appreciate that @Ford Motor Company is trying and this is their first run out of the gate at interaction on this type of media with customers. I hope we don’t scare them away ?

Yes, but...

This level of detail ("an ok hint is added") will confuse my parents. But I would love it. So maybe a "details" button or hyperlink is appropriate so that the main text is limited to super critical info such as "your braking action from the brake pedal is changed. try your brakes asap."

Jim, in case it wasn't purely humor, and if you ever did have a pet, do send GMM that info and maybe just maybe your car might get some updates a little sooner. Maybe. What's it hurt?

A couple of other things I've noticed:
  • My odometer reads 10612.3 -- Job 1 cars drop the decimal point after 10k miles
  • I can open the liftgate!! (Since the last update, 2.3 or so, my manual liftgate would not open when the car is locked--I had to use FP, the Fob, or open a door to unlock the car first before the button on the liftgate would let me open it)
