Vehicle definitely not equipped with BlueCruise. Look at 22:19. They must have switched vehicles on the Ford guy at the last minute and he didn’t notice. Pretty surprised at this miss on his part!

Really? Do you really think that Ford would send someone who is not familiar with the product to do the one-on-one interview with Jay Leno? Check out the job title he’s introduced with. Also, note in the video he discusses his involvement in the development of the product where he went to the simulator and worked with them on the handling. I’m pretty sure he’s quite familiar with the product. That IS his job (and likely his passion as well - he’s a car guy. He understood the original history of the original Mustang.)

Lol so true.

In fact this guy was probably in the group who decided not to allow a metal roof with Bluecruise on a GTPE.

It’s still not a Mustang. It’s inspired by the mustang.
If it were named "Thunderbird" or hell, Probe II, do you think other Ford fans would have taken up the issue as much as the Icestang crowd?

No? Then maybe that says something about the Mustang crowd putting a brand on a pedestal over a great driving experience. 99.9% of these blowhards haven't driven the MME. Their opinion is about as valuable to me as Kanye's.

Was the Mustang II a mustang? Yes. It had the badge. Was a foxbody a mustang? Yes, barely - it still had the badge.

Looking in my garage...and...yep. it's there too.

It's not spiritual. It's a brand, a quality, a story of innovation and evolution that continues today with our without our opinions.

It just happens that your opinion is factually wrong.

Jay wasn't particularly enthusiastic, was he? I mean, he obviously liked the car. But he didn't exactly rave about it.
He is getting on in years. I view it more as “grumpy old man syndrome” sort of like that Sandy Monroe guy.

We’re any of those other Mustangs 4-doors?

Why does it bother you so much that I refuse to call it a Mustang? I feel like you’re the one putting the nameplate on a pedal stool and are just happy that now you get to own a mustang*.

None of the mustangs were fastbacks.

Until they were.

None were 4 cylinders.

Until they were.

None of them were hatchbacks.

Until they were.

None were 4 door electric SUVs.

Until they were.

Change is hard for some people.

It's actually my second Mustang. Your opinion doesn't bother me. I just don't appreciate an entire group of blowhards trying to gaslight a new market of EV mustang owners.

You can call it whatever you want, but just don’t state it like it’s fact when there’s an entire motor company saying it is a Mustang.
And most of us here could have bought a two door Mustang if we wanted to…I mean, with the cost of the Mach E we could have probably bought two ?

I'm sure when they tried to use Bluecruise and it's missing they edited that out!!
Exactly. The missing cameras facing the driver... that mini rack missing. Uh oh.

Oh, as director of the program, I'm sure he is intimately familiar with many of the technical details, project history, etc. I'm just not convinced he would be keeping track of minute details for all available trim options released in the market.
Perhaps he wasn't prepared or was too caught up in hyping up the car to connect the dots wrt the Active 2.0 package.
Regardless, let's cut him some slack. Jim F wouldn't want one of his better guys get trolled on a respectable forum such as this.
