Thanks Tony - didn’t work for me unfortunately. I don’t have the app catalogue option. Will follow that thread though

OK Ford - I’m super pleased you just made my 2022 Mach-E, but reminding me every 30 minutes this evening to create a profile for my new car isn’t necessary ? 11 notifications and they still keep coming. Time to invoke DND mode. :)

That's taking "keeping you informed" to a whole new level. Hope you have your notification sound off otherwise it could get quite annoying.

For those who are a bit concerned (which I was ) about leaving your car sitting around for a while ie. Gatwick airport.
I've returned after a break.
The car was left at Gatwick with 50% showing and 138 miles. It sat there for 22 days and I'm pleased to say that I needn't have worried. When turned on it actually had risen to 51%, but the mileage had dropped to 131.
Not sure if there was ever a reason to be concerned about leaving it for a long period. Most probably just this new experience of owning an EV.

Luckily Ford don’t use the Felicity Ace to cross the seas!

This is why I think there's still something wrong with my car. I had the replacement 12v battery because of the increasingly frequent "System off to save battery" message. However, recently when I didn't use the car for 5 days as I tested positive for Covid, and when I first used it, again I got the "System off" message, plus what I call the "cheap beeps!"

I can sympathise with that - mine behaves in a similar way after just a couple of days, but hasn't had the 12V battery replaced yet.

I see that today a new IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) update is available in FDRS, and I think this is to address a known issue where the drivers display can remain powered even after the car is shutdown (which causes a drain on the 12v battery).

It doesn't affect all vehicles, but it's one of a few 12V battery drain issues they've found over the past year and are addressing through this kind of update.

As far as,I’m aware my drivers display always powers off okay, unless it is either still drawing power, or turns itself back on when I’m not around!

Don't forget also that the car is always in contact with Ford's cloud system, which is why you can get realtime info on your FP app (most of the time) and the car receives OTA updates. That must cause a small drain on the system too. If you have a dashcam fitted and it has a motion sensor setup, that will have an affect as well. Although it seems that the car is "off", it never really is.

I suspect it's a hardware issue but it would be interesting to see if this affects the buzz that comes from the IPC.

Initial reports I’m seeing from those that have run the new IPC update is that it brings the display characteristics on Job1 cars up to the same as those on Job2 cars. (Thicker right hand borders on alert boxes with an integrated ā€œOKā€ icon) … but there may be lots of other stuff in there too … we’ll find out on Friday :)
