Premium orders but off for 2022?

Was just browsing the Ford order site and noticed that the Premium model is missing. You can still order the select or GT but no premium. Assuming they cut off premium orders for 2022? Anyone else seeing this on the ford site?

Only Select and GT orders now. Premium and CA Route 1 orders have been halted -- perhaps for the rest of 2022 (my speculation).

Just for reference on why they might halt these trims. Ordered a premium 11/1 and not scheduled for production yet meaning earliest production is May, given the current 3 month chip holds and one month for delivery that means a September delivery more than likely and there are 4 months of orders after mine.

Ford may also be planning to move the MY switch to earlier in the year like they do for other models. That may make 2022 a "short" year.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I ordered mine on 11/13 and don't have a production date yet.

I'm seeing that as well. I wonder what the reasoning is for this. I placed my order 2/11; I wonder how that is affected.

Wonder if they push the MY22 to MY23 and jack up the price...will we be screwed with the higher $$$. Hope they don't pull a Rivian. Rivian increases price 20%

A 20% increase is insane! I would cancel instantly.

And what's to say, in 6 months, they say on top of the 20%, we now need to charge you 15% more since we're still losing $$.

This is the downside of all these new EV companies that haven't really delivered product in large numbers. The demand is there, but they hit these very embarassing things which can kill the company.

Unlike GM or Ford which have other cash cows to support missteps, Rivian is going to kill a lot of love /support for their brand after this.

Not sure if order holders have a case if they sue, but this is a warning to Fisker and any new players out there.

At least Tesla raises prices by $10k upfront so people know what they will be charged.

Agreed. The price when you put in the deposit is what you can expect to pay. Only issue I saw good or bad is that it can change like the stock price. Very volatile. I remember the early stage when Model 3/Y just came to market. Was thinking about it and during the 2 week thinking period, price changed 3 times.
