This "Door fault - Service required" message is a new one for me. Popped up on me for the first time Friday. I was hoping it would go away with charging, driving, etc. so I gave it day to see if it would work itself out like some others have. But it hasn't. Each time I turn on the car this message appears. Anyone else seeing this? Solution?

You could try disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes to see if that resets something. If that doesn’t work, you’re probably looking at a trip to the dealer.

Hey, good morning! I would like to see what I can do to help with this Door Fault message. Can you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer so I can start looking into this?

I also started getting this message today, and it's been consistent. Opening/closing all the doors, paying attention to how the door feels and sounds doesn't give me any clues.

My service department had to replace what they referred to as a "door sensor" on the driver's side front door. I don't know exactly what that means or exactly what they replaced. But they had to order the part. Took less than 2 weeks to arrive and a few hours to replace. The error message went away.

All is well in my Mach-E universe again.....well, except for all the common annoying software screwups we are all awaiting fixes for.

The local dealer doesn’t have an appointment for *three weeks*, and won’t even *try* a remote diagnosis. So I’ve got to live with the car yelling at me every day for at least the next month and a half?
I know it’s trite, but I can’t help but compare this with Tesla.

Did yours got fixed eventually?
Thanks.

I'm having exactly the same issue - dealer can't look at it for four weeks :-(

Just got Evie back from service for this issue. They had to order a new door sensor module. I wish I could remember who, but someone put me on the path to success by providing this little bit of education:
1st error is door sensor fault, service required.
2nd error is hill assist disabled
3rd error is constant transmission not in park warnings at very low speeds
4th related issue is the car will automatically engage the e-brake, especially when doing things such as shifting from P to R as you pull out of a parking space.

All this is tied to the door sensor fault: the car thinks the door is open, so it takes all of the measures identified above while trying to protect you, as if you're attempting to operate the vehicle with the door open. Remove the sensor error and each subsequent error or effect will vanish.

Hello, Martin! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this door malfunction concern. Thanks!

In my usual pattern of getting an error six months after someone in the USA does, this has started happening for me, complete with the infuriating hand brake application and horn blaring randomly on locking as the car thinks the door is open.

Now, two minute forum search for me, how many weeks will my dealer take it solve it? ?

I reported the error in June, was fixed end Sep. The actual repair took a few hrs, but it took forever for the part to come.
