well like you said what is 10 miles off range lost right? So you can get a match e select with 230 range" I bet it gets 240 when final numbers come out" rwd, and add heated seats for 2,300. Now minus x plan easy to get plus incentives and your paying

$44,000. Don't have to get a premium for the few things you want. but your getting the 43,995 first edition right? so no difference in price. Just saying.

Choices are a good thing. If the id.4 ticks all the boxes then that's probably the way to go.

And if any do bail on the MME, file reports on the id.4 when it arrives, please.

Personally, I'm in a holding pattern for the MME and I'm not bailing out for an alternate car. I'll be sticking with the MME.

All of what you listed are available in a Premium SR RWD or even in a Select SR RWD with optional package that will get you the heated seats at a lesser cost of a Premium ER AWD, but with 230 miles range instead of 250 miles. Does that 20 miles really a big difference?

A red select with the convenience package to get the heated seats is 46000 with the X plan. The base ID.4 has heated seats for $39995; it does not have lane centering and has an even more limited color palette but otherwise has very similar functionality to that Select MME.

Nonetheless, I still see the ID.4 being competition more for Bolt, Niro, etc

46,195 is select with the package to get the heated seats. minus the x plan and 1,000 incentives.
Just logged onto my ford account 44,592 . and there will be another 250 dollars coming off select models next year. Already seen it. 44,342 final cost,

5 things that makes me think 1- It's probably gone be more affordable for a lot of people 2- It has roof rails 3- It has 2700 lbs towing capacity 4- It has a heat pump 5- It has much of the MME tech except maybe Hands Free Driving but.....

It will only be available in the spring in it's base model so if you are lucky and reserve soon enough you might get one then. For those like me who expect their MME in March-April it's yet another gamble, the problem beeing that we cannot test drive and see the actual cars and if you miss your opportunity you are good for another 7 to 8 months wait at best. For those wanting an AWD it will only be available in the summer of 2021 , so once again for me it would be a big gamble. I had ordered a Kia Niro EV in August 2019 and canceled it in May 2020 to keep my MME order so I'm not changing again otherwise I'l never have an EV by the end of the decade. Besides the fact that although it'l probably be a good car, it doesn't have the soul of the Mustang Mach-E. So Ford please give us good news soon.
I do like that towing capacity!

More incentives are coming also.
This is true. I don’t have any “insider info.” But I have heard from more than one employee that Ford is working on bigger incentives and possibly better finance/leasing terms for the Mach-E. They’re really looking to compete.

Reminds me of some cheap Syfi movie. the whole dash does. Kinda like starship trooper.
Hey hey, I lowkey LOVED that movie!

@hybrid2bev has said over and over again that whatever incentives you see now will change by the time the cars ship. So, counting on something that is a placeholder is error prone at best.

Therefore, according to my calculator (and assuming 2% X plan discount applies to paint/packages):
43895 + 400 (red) + 2300 (comfort package) = 46595
46595 * .98 = 45663.10
45663.1 + 275 = 45938.10

Now, IF Ford actually puts incentives out there and improves the options plan I will be ecstatic. I don't really think I want the ID.4, but it offers an intriguing option for me personally. I will probably go with the Mach E, but the lease rates on the ID.4 are very competitive over the Ford options plan

So true. More changes are coming so don’t abandon the Mach-E just yet.

This is really not fair to say, but I have substantial doubts about VW's ability to pull this off without it being a bit of a long-term quality disaster. They don't really have a great real-world reliability position. The November, 2019 CR list, which is the newest I believe they have, puts Ford at 16 and VW at 27. While I actually wouldn't get too worked up about say 16 vs. 17 because of how CR does their stuff, 16 vs. 27 is a large gap.

I don't know what the dollar value is for that kind of difference in reliability (it would impact resale value for one thing), but it does mean that comparing straight-up prices isn't appropriate, especially if you're going to say "well I will get three years of free charging" which we have no idea on the actual value of (it will vary from person to person, and charging prices will continue to drop over time, and we still don't know what the implied hidden limit is if it's there) because TCO, then you have to include the potential quality hit to resale as well.

To be fair, JD Power's initial quality numbers say VW is better than Ford, but they also put Dodge at the very top.. and it's initial quality, not long-term. So... yeah.

43,895 yes I'm not adding red paint for the other guy. 2,300 correct then the x plan is minus 603.00. then 1,000 dollar minus incentives, then 250 more for select models, already know its coming. is 44,342 ;)

Not seeing anything worth waiting or switching for, so still planning on the Mach E... that said, without a test drive it's a bit too soon to rule out this or some of the other options. Right now the three biggest concerns on the mach e are price, and the unknown of driver comfort including entering and leaving the vehicle and sitting in it (mainly worried it's too low), and also visibility for the driver, especially in the rear.

I'm with you Bill.

However, if there were no Mustang Mach E I might be seriously considering the ID.4.
