Getting concerned about order status!

My wife and I ordered a Premium, on May 21, 2021, with a deposit and everything. To-date, we still have not received a build date, a VIN, anything. It's been nine months. Am I right to be very concerned? I have a Z-plan PIN that I don't want to expire--what should I do??

Have you contacted your dealer? Did you get an email when your car was changed to a 22 model?

To add to this, we were told in the Fall that our order would be converted to a 2022 model (which was fine), but since then the only word I've gotten has been "your order is still waiting to get picked up." I assume Ford USA hasn't given a slot to our dealer?

Have your dealer check to make sure you aren't a priority code 99 (which is an order hold), it happened to some people that went from '21 to '22 orders. Your priority code should be any number from 10 to 19.

Have your dealer check to make sure you aren't a priority code 99 (which is an order hold), it happened to some people that went from '21 to '22 orders. Your priority code should be any number from 10 to 19.

Is there anything else I can do at this point? There's only one Ford dealer in town, and really only like three in the State, so I can't exactly try my luck elsewhere.

Priority codes 1-9 are for Ford's use only for special orders, if that is indeed your code you should be scheduled Thursday when they do the next round. I have to question if your dealer found something screwed up when you asked them and realizing they messed up, got Ford to throw you to the front of the line because your order is so old at this point?

Well it's near 10pm eastern on Thursday, and I've not heard anything. Would I hear from Ford or through the dealer?

I got a build date last week. I learned of it because I saw it on ford’s website. I still haven’t received an email from Ford about it. My dealer did shoot me an email, but I imagine that’s dealer dependent.

At this point, since you're waiting this long, I would try to see if you can find them at MSRP at dealers near you. Even if you get a production date, there seems to be shipping delays that made it take an additional couple more months to get to you after it's built.

Like some others here, I actually just put in an order last week for a Mach E Premium, but was just able to find a Mach E GT at MSRP in a week of searching. The huge unknown to all of this is that the EV credits will probably start phasing out within the next 7-10 months or so.

It'll take a while to find a dealer who will let it go at MSRP, many of the dealers around me were trying to offer it at $10k ADMs but included "Xzilon."

None of us have reported hearing yet today in the scheduling thread so unsure what's going on. You would hear via email and your dealer should also contract, but those are usually delayed (sometimes days) from the actual scheduling. People that ordered directly online and not at a dealership usually know right away from their order status changing.

Closest dealer with one in stock is a ~2,200 mile drive from here in Fairbanks, and I'm not sure how confident I am in driving the Alaska Hwy in the winter in an electric car. I may look at the ferry if I see no progress in another month or two.

After the exhilaration faded, and the information could not be found, and the adrenaline overdose began....
I looked for alternatives. The first good opportunity came in the form of a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ltd. It will be a "used car" by the time I see my ordered MME. I will decide what to do with the ordered MME if and when I see it.
