For those who have been able to use this in their 2021 MME, when was your car built/delivered? My car was in chip hold since October and I took possession February 1. Had BlueCruise and frunk button good to go since day 1. So I assumed my sync would be as up to date as possible and that this would work. But apparently my Sync is still an older version which surprised me.

I tried the Apple Maps routing out this morning. While its nice to see the big mapping apps start to integrate EV routing this is still a very basic product with very few bells and whistles. While its easy to use there are no options for choosing the types of chargers you want to use or the network. In fact you can’t make any choices at all. It puts in the EV stops and that’s the end of it. You can’t change them at all. It also gives you no information about the status of the chargers or any nearby amenities. It looks like the only way to even see the list of chargers is to scroll through the entire turn list to get to each one.
The built in MME routing software isn’t perfect but its much better than this option in my opinion.
I tried it out this morning and I agree with you, it's nice to have the charging stations added, but I would like the option to tap on the charging station and get more information about it such as the number of stalls, charger power, etc.

I agree that currently the built in navigation works quite well and has some advantages over what we have available in Apple Maps, but it also has similar limitations to Apple maps.

Either way, I am happy to have this functionality in my CarPlay and look forward to further improvements!

My MME was delivered 1/20/21. I do not have my MME with me so I cannot tell you my build date, I ordered my MME in June of 2020 if that helps. I now have (recent OTA) the Frunk Button (not on my FordPass App). I do not have BlueCruise yet.

At least we got the first step of actually having it work, I’m sure it will be improved down the line.

If that's the version that came on all Job 2 vehicles, I guess you'll all be in the same boat.
I'm definitely not complaining because people have it way worse waiting for BC and I actually like the built in Ford navigation.

Just find it surprising that they'd give Job 2 cars things like BC and the frunk button but then have earlier cars with newer Sync versions. Seems like it'd cause headaches for Ford with such a mix of new and old in different cars.

There’s so many variables between cars and different modules, I’m sure it’s been a huge PITA, but strategy seems to indicate the priority is getting older builds “caught up” which may mean some may have newer features than newer builds, because some things may have been completed during a sprint and deployed that hadn’t been before.

one update to this. I found that while you can’t get any info about the EV stops on the Synch screen you can tap on them on the iPhones screen and get some useful info. You still can’t change them but at least you can see what you’re getting into at each stop

The Smurfmobile was built in 12/20, and I took possession in 3/21. I am in the early access program, and have BlueCruise now. I updated my iPhone yesterday, and have the Apple Maps integration running now.

You folks are pre-supposing that Ford actually has a "strategy" to continue to have fragmentation in major systems in these cars.

I guess GT's are left out due to lower version #, or not?

Are we to understand that Ford's servers are so inadequate that they can't simply let anyone who wants to get the update have it? If so, what a pos.. This is irritating at best. To me even though not a deal killer at this point, but still it's a huge fail.

I doubt that's the issue. Don't forget that the F-150 is also an FNV2 fully OTA capable vehicle and their volumes dwarf the Mach-E. An update pushed to every single Mach-E ever built would only be a fraction of the OTA deployments done on that truck.
