I received this also and thought I'd check the pricing. Turns out it is $2000 HIGHER than what my order from the dealer says. Appears to be an increase on the Extended Range battery. You may want to take a look and tell me what you see.
If you ordered before 12/8/21 you should be price protected. I will say that it appears, based on comments from others, that this is not always the case though. I believe the key is to have confirmation from the dealer that they accepted the order at the price quoted. Best to deal with this in advance and not be surprised when your vehicle shows up at the dealer.

I have a "order confirmed" status from Ford on Feb 13th for Premium 4IBS. Still says confirmed. Only email I've received since, is the "Stay Exhilarated" on 3/17. It seems like it takes on average 2 months to get a schedule production date, production date is ~3 months out, 2 months later you may get the MME. (7 months). Should I expect a 2023 model if they are sending Jan order months this?
My thought is Ford stopped taking orders on certain models so they did not repeat the problem of last year. Obviously no guarantee as who knows what supply chain issues may occur but I would guess you still are on track for a fall delivery.

we visited our dealer on 3/18, and had the same response. Our salesperson changed our order by having a prep kit installed for the rear sensors, which should now put our November 2021 order in the production queue. Onward!
Hey thanks for pointing that out!

I just noticed on the printout I got yesterday at the dealership:

*Active Park Assist Prep Kit: $-325,

and sure enough a discount of $325 does appear to be part of the bottom line MSRP. So looks like my car will get built without that part and maybe get built a little earlier. Yea!(?)

Your timeline was correct before recent (extra) delays and the war. Now that CR1 and Premium are off the menu, it's impossible to predict. Good luck! If I get a 7 month total time, we will have fireworks at home.
7 months? Can I laugh now? My Oct 1 2021 order is 169 days old and the earliest production date is early May so I'm dancing if it is under 9 months.

Thankfully I put in an order for GTPE at the dealer who sold me a Premium RWD SR at MSRP and that has a production date.

Yes, I'm going to do that. I can't imagine them thinking they can just raise the price $2k w/o any communication. I have a signed order.

It is more Ford raised prices across the board on Mach e but is honoring any pre-increase order prices by protecting the dealer when they sell you the car at the original price. Just appears some dealers either don’t believe or understand this. Can’t explain why. I do think it may be an out of the ordinary situation that they have not dealt with or at least not dealt with in the magnitude of the increase. I know this is something that occurs on a regular basis for smaller amounts of money like in the tens or hundreds of dollars.

Not true. I ordered a GTPE back in August, build week 1/24, and it is still stuck in production. It’s all about timing, if your car is on the line when the chips come in. I bought an EV6.
Yep. several folks in this thread say they have acquired a different BEV due to delays in their ordered MMe. (Me too, Hyundai Ioniq 5. I'll see what to do about "my" MME when I see it, perhaps next summer/fall.) The "stay exhilarated" email wore off a long time ago, and this "important update" is like saying "stay frustrated".

I already received an email back from the dealer saying I was protected at the agreed upon price.
I never thought buying a car would be a good investment! :)

Price protection is much discussed in other threads. Some dealers are on the ball while others have to be led to the proper answer. CEO Farley tried to tamp down on the dealer markups, but it is not apparent that it has worked for the consumer.

Literally minutes ago I received this email from Ford and, though it’s been 2.5 months since I’ve received any communication from the Blue Oval company, this is at least something!

I received that same email last night and was really bummed thinking this meant a longer delay. However, I just received my built email today! So, I think that was clearly just a blanket email for all customers that are not fully built / waiting on a chip.

Not true, I've got two other Ford's ordered and did not receive any emails for them, love it when you guys just pull something out of thin air and post it!
It’s purely for your enjoyment.

My issue with cutting Ford slack because of chip issues is the fact they are still sending GTs to dealers with the Active Park Assist 2.0 on them when us with lesser profitable models on order still wait. These GTs come in and allow dealers to charge large ADMs to people that are sick of waiting. If Ford has chips for GTs w the Ford Co-pilot packages on them they could be making ordered premiums. I think it’s about $$ as much as chip shortages.
