Hey fellow Mach-E owners...I've had my eAWD-Prem for over 2 months and gheesh, and I have to say I don't mind the public attention and random people asking about the car....HOWEVER, I'm so tired of the continuous comments from coworkers on "oh that's YOUR car in the parking lot"..."I heard you bought a new car, u didn't say anything"..."what trim did you get"...."I bet you're glad you don't have to buy gas now..." I know the Mach-E is a new car and it draws attention but damn I'm over it, I can't enjoy my car without the snide comments on random "ish" statements asking whether I like the car or now these out of the blue requests to go to lunch...smh

Has anyone experienced this? It's getting really annoying...I mean just say nice car and move on...

“Does anyone else hate people talking to them and asking about your interests?”

Sorry guys, I'm just not one for constantly talking about my car every day with the same or different coworkers....maybe I do have "thin skin" but I'm pretty private so I don't like discussing how much I paid for a car with coworkers or constant asking if I "like the car" every week. MEH

Guess I need to get used to the questions and attention...just gets annoying to get daily requests asking for a ride or to see inside...

Seems like they are just interested in having a conversation

Perhaps the OP feels judged, and feels like their co workers are casting a negative sentiment with these comments? I can see that being a frustrating experience. You just want to enjoy your new purchase without needing to explain it.

Im not sure there is a solve for this though. It’s an interesting car, and it’s gonna draw attention. If you don’t want to talk about it, I recommend making your responses direct and short. You won’t make any friends, but you’ll also avoid future questions.

Haha... I've had quite a few co-workers make fun of my car out of pure envy. It's hilarious. I just add to the jokes. They've called it a Mazda, a Tesla knock off... I just laugh and say things like... yeah, it's such a fake mustang, it has a 3 cyl engine... and I bought the GT badges from home depot during my lunch break. It's powered by hippie juice and the tears of oil executives. Why not throw some sh*t talk right back at them? ?
