So I contacted a dealer today that had a GT incoming that was available. Asked if they could run some prelim Ford Options numbers for me. I did not give them my SS# but told them my credit score (which I monitor and is high). He came back with a number that was way higher than I expected. 8.27%. I thought the promo rate was 1.4% on GT's with Ford Options?

That is correct, it should be 1.4% with the highest tier credit. Make sure he is doing Ford Options and you tell him the term (36 months or 48) and annual miles.

I told him all the terms....I just think they really had no idea about Ford Options. Funny thing is he texted me and said a woman just came in and put a deposit down on it and traded in her Tesla. Oh well, the hunt continues!

Yeah, next time just get the price in writing and put the deposit down and figure out the financing numbers later lol, so long as it is refundable.

Yes. It's a positive factor but it only helps if the dealer adds a comment indicating A-Plan when submitting the application (which they often don't do). Several dealer bulletins have been sent out in the past to remind dealers to include the A-Plan comment when appropriate.

@hybrid2bev I assume x plan doesn't matter on making a note?

Looking for thoughts on what to tell a clueless dealer who seems to have no idea about ford options, where to find it in their system, how to do it, etc. Their reply was it's usually better to just finance. At first they thought I was talking about Ford Flex buy which is something different. Finally sent them a link to the ford options page and they still seemed clueless.

The dealer needs to talk to their Ford Credit dealer representative (BDM). The rep has all the training docs and can help get the dealer up to speed on Ford Options.

Hey! Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge here. I'm actively coaching the dealership where my Mach E has been delivered to get on board with the program and I'm literally copying + pasting your posts over to them.

Does this mean I get $2000 in rebates? I'm at the dealer now and they only see $1000. I checked with regular financing and it doesn't show the $1000 rebate at the bottom.

1K total. That last line is just the "total" of all incentives.

I'm in the same boat here. My GT is scheduled to be delivered in early May, But my dealer has no clue about Ford Options. The Finance Manager is old-school and doesn't understand how it works. Can I find out who his Ford Credit dealer representative (BDM) is and connect them? Or is there a better approach? I've heard many of their customers have been frustrated at not being able to arrange Ford Options financing through them.

If you or @hybrid2bev have any advice, I'd appreciate it very much!
