All the sudden the Pricing Summary on my Ford account looks $6K higher than my original signed order. The "Difference from Total MSRP" was always blank before. I just emailed my dealer about it. Anyone else seen this happen and what they did about it? If Ford and the dealership feel like they can make me wait over half a year and also jack up the cost they got another thing coming.

You are not alone. I Got the built notice on 3/2 no ship notice and Ford.com has an eta of 3/28-4/3. Ford customer service said call the dealer. The dealer does not return the call.

This is a v very frustrating situation.

Ford Customer service says call dealer, dealer asks what does Ford say.
I do not understand how the plant doesn't relay to Ford exactly where the car is, you are not going to tell me in this day and age that the plant doesn't know that information. By UPC, VIN, GPS some other tracker. I find it beyond belief that the latest update to my car by VVR is 3/2. It has been awaiting shipment since then. Why isn't acurate information provided to Ford Corp

I believe that extra 5k is ADM from the dealer, but there could be a lot of reasons for it that don't automatically mean your deal is trying to break it off in you. Best bet is to call/email your dealer and go over the details now that your car is on the way.

I look at this as an investment in that my car gets 'cheaper' every week that goes by without any sign of it showing up in Ayer especially since I have no doubt my dealer will honor my price from October 1st. Until then I will continue to enjoy my 2007 Prius with such advanced technology as back up camera and keyless entry/start and a catalytic converter that just gets more and more valuable. Wait a second while I check if my catalytic converter is still there.

I have not received a shipped email, but sometime during the last 24 hours my status changed from built to shipped. OTOH, my status toggled between in production and built a couple of times in January before settling at in production.

I did see another post about this. In their case is was just an automatic increase their dealer made to all incoming vehicles. They removed the ADM from the order. Contact your dealer as was already advised. Good luck!

Talked to the salesperson today and they told me my price had not increased so I suspect something similar is happening as what you explain. Thanks!

For whatever it is worth (probably not much) to those of us still waiting for our built car to ship, my dealer indicates that the issue may be related to low rail car supply relative to the demand from the backup related to the chip hold. But that is probably his speculation to keep me off his back as much as anything else.
