Taking mine Thursday! My dealer just called and has adapters needed……. Hope it works! Anyone having any luck with the fix?
I've ran it for a local forum member, and it worked fine.

Do you have Notes now?

After the fix you should actually be on 1.7.1 and waiting for an OTA to update you to the version that was included in 2.3.0 that adds multi day update scheduling.

As long as you have notes, and can toggle automatic updates, you should be ready to receive future updates again. Ford probably hasn't deployed any to these cars yet that I've seen.
But as discussed I have both of those things… Yet pretty certain I’m still stuck… Check that serial number! I have none but can toggle updates on/off and have notes…

I can report failure after spending 4 hours in the dealership. They told me they could not get the update to go through and now they have a case pending with Ford.

I would like to keep a count of how many were successful on the first try and how many fail.
I will keep a count post on every Monday how many were successful and how many were not.

Success means that you were able to turn auto-updates on and set a day/time. If you receive an OTA, let me know, that means the fix does really work

Totally. They said they think that a physical replacement of the module, what ever it is, might be needed, I'll update when they call back..

I'm scheduled for the 14th. It's the earliest they could get me in.

an update here - apparently, the dealer never attempted to actually apply the TSB that i gave them the link to, they just tried to update 4 times, which explains the 4 hour wait there.

this borders between incompetence and lies, since i asked if they followed the TSB, to which they said "yes". at least this explains the failure..
will call them again, or perhaps look for another dealer.

thank you @benk016

If there's anyone here that knows a MA/NH dealer that can perform this, please let me know.

Consider starting another thread posing this as a poll.

Hi @trenz - send me a note to what dealer you are working with. I have been working with my service manager directly who was in the Boston area a long time - he has been calling a bunch of folks in that area to get some help with applying this TSB. He even reached out to a tech engineer he knew at corporate. I can ask him for some recommendations or maybe he even knows your service team. There isn't really any success criteria on it or even estimated time so the techs are a little wary to address it. He also told me that there was an update from Ford that another software update is coming in May or June (I firmly believe this is unrelated, but seems like the communication methods are causing more confusion at the dealer level).

I should be bringing it in today to get fixed and have been in constant contact with the service team. In my case, delays are because of the numerous bronco tsbs that were released and backing people up (roof adjustments are easier to tackle than jumping usb ports for them) and inexperience on the Mach e.

I was successful in that automatic updates turns on as does scheduling (setting day & time) updates. Have only had my car back since 4:30 yesterday so no OTA updates yet. I did provide the mechanic with the cables and adapters because I figured the dealer wouldn't have them and I didn't want that used as an excuse not to do it.

For those that have had success with this, could someone please summarize exactly what you said to the dealer and which of the parts required to conduct the dealer you had to give to them?
