Do your auto-folding mirrors auto-unfold, as well?

I've had my 2022 Premium for only a few days. The mirrors are set to automatically fold in when the car turns off. I assumed they would also unfold when the car turns on (or shifts to drive), but they haven't been. Curious of that's working as intended or if I'm missing something?

Sometimes they “skip the track,” and you have to unfold them manually (or fold them
Manually) to get them back on track. After that they should both fold and unfold themselves. If they are not doing so, you may need a service visit.

Mine fold & unfold automatically, but the weird thing they do is they come in contact with the door when they fold in. Which probably isn’t great.

Exactly on how I use them...pulling into the garage I manually fold them in and once I back out I manually fold them back out.

However, when out and about they auto fold in when locking and auto fold out for the return trip.

That’s a good thing. I fold them in to pull into the garage. I’d hate to have them open before I’m out of the garage.

I have 2 single garage doors and very tight for my cars to squeeze in.

Can one mirror be folded in while I back into the garage ?

I need one to see the side of the garage wall.

Or can the surround cameras see it all with both mirrors folded in while driving in reverse ?

I exclusively use the back-up cameras when pulling into and backing out of the garage. Mirrors are not necessary, imo.

I don't think there is a setting to have them automatically fold when you turn the car off. You can enable auto-fold to have them fold when the car is locked and unfold when the car is unlocked.

My issue is that they fold just fine when the car is locked, but are not automatically unfolding when the car is unlocked -- we use the button to unfold them.

When you go to a store and walk away, you lock your car via FOB, walk-away function or maybe PAAK and the mirrors auto fold in. You are then coming back to your car to unlock and the mirrors don't auto open? Not sure how you unlock your car and if that has anything to do with it, but mine automatically open when I unlock. Might be an issue for the dealer to do an an update of some kind if yours is not.

If you use the button to fold them in, they won't auto-unfold, until you leave them unfolded and then let the car fold them in when you lock it.

If they don't autofold in, check the settings to see if you have that feature turned off...

And, to the question of folding just one mirror - no, you cannot do that.
