Seems a bit too quick …

I ordered a GTPE DMG 24 March in NC from a high volume dealer. I had reached out yesterday to request a color change to IBSM. I’ve been scouting EVs at charging stations when I make trips from GA to NC and saw the color in person. BEAUTIFUL!
Anyway … dealer replied that the order was locked … which usually means it’s been picked up for scheduling (as per dealer). But he should be able to make the change early next week once it comes out of lock status.
I fully expected to be waiting until summer for even a scheduled date. Am I being overly optimistic that it’s already in the schedule que? I realize it still could be 3-5 months after I get a scheduled date before it’s even shipped.

I received a schedule date two weeks after I placed my order online for my GTPE.

It definitely seems that Ford is prioritizing getting GTs and, probably even at a higher priority, GTPEs built.

Even better, Ford notified me two weeks ago that they are pushing my build week up a week.

It definitely seems that Ford is prioritizing getting GTs and, probably even at a higher priority, GTPEs built.

The higher the cost the less buyers that are out there.

I have IBSM and love it. Literally everyone that comments on the car loves it. I hope you're successful in getting the color changed and also that your car is scheduled/built/delivered quickly!

I don't, but 10 weeks from placing the order to actual build brings no complaints from me. When I placed the order, I was expecting the 28+ weeks.

Good luck the rest of the way. If you go on chip hold that could easily add 4-6 weeks and then you’re probably waiting 4 weeks for transit time. Still, 18-20 weeks is fairly quick.

I was originally given a 4/25 build week and was notified last week I'm being moved up to the week of 4/18.

That’s good. Ours was “built” on 8/30 but then went on chip hold until 9/28 when it finally got finished. Maybe you’ll bypass chip hold hell. ??

I ordered my GTPE in January and the dealer told me it would be a 7 month lead time . . . but I received my build date two weeks ago, for April 18th, so it seems I am ahead of schedule.
