More interesting then just the loss of the $2500 rebate for using Ford Option the interest rate is EXACTLY the same for both purchase and Ford Option at 5%

It's on the side. That's why the Frunk comes with a divider.
I just had an awesome thought. Ever seen one of those fancy Snap-on Tools blenders?

Exclusive MME frunk conversion for those gotta mix a big batch of Margaritas people.

Ford did not really reduce the price. What they did was eliminate the $2500 discount when you chose ford options. Now the financing is better buying then doing the ford options
I never saw a $2500 discount when reviewing the ford options for the mach e

I would be very, very surprised if the offered financing was 5%. That would be very, very uncompetitive in the current market. I can do better at the local "big bank", and if they can beat you, you're screwed.

I was excited until I went in to rebuild my car and check out financing. What this is saying is that Ford does NOT want these cars back. The ONLY reason to do an Option plan is if you drive like zero miles and want to upgrade in 3-4 years

there's another thread on here around incentives etc. and I don't want to repeat myself here but the short version is as of this moment, we don't really know what the incentives, financing, etc. will look like other than that we have on very good authority that the Ford Options plan will exist and it's not a traditional lease, but a balloon payment loan.

i agree. Obviously Ford can change stuff between now and delivery. However just looking at it today I really do not understand why anyone would do the lease. At 48 months lease and 72 finance it is about the same.

Lease makes sense if you want a new car every 3-4 years. I tend to keep mine over a dozen years....

Given the potential of battery and other EV tech changing, or just all the new models coming out by 2025, some people will want to get a new vehicle in 3 or 4 years. I am not one of them, but I do understand the appeal to some. Some people like to get a new cell phone every 1-2 years...

I was EXACTLY that person that you described. I did it because my wife and I were driving pre Covid 25,000 per year EACH. Leases would not work and by the time the warranty of 125,000 ran out we still had 2 years left of financing that we had to roll.

I see MME and I finally can say WAIT. Mileage is no longer a factor so now I can keep it. Originally I thought Ford Options was a lower payment and then re finance the balance in 4 years. Now that plan as of today went out the proverbial window. So now the ONLY reason to do the option plan is like you said you want a newer one. For me I just want to get out of the car buying business and not have to worry about making payments.

I never did Tesla for lots of reasons. So now we wait see and see what Ford does between now and delivery which is realistically 2 months away. When you have waited nearly a year since ordering 2 months is a drop in the proverbial bucket.

it was for those that took deliveries in big cities like LA, NY and about 10-15 others. When you did the Ford Option it would show as a cash rebate.
