With the price reductions I decided to just order the route 1 and finance instead of lease/options since the 300 mi range will be fine even after some degradation.

And Ford does have the $1,000 Incentive bonus for financing back on their website at least for my zip area and the 0.9 % APR. That's cheaper than paying cash for a 36 month term loan.

I’ll probably sign up with Ford Credit for the loan, make 1 Payment and then payoff the balance to get the $1,000 Incentive. Was planning on paying cash anyway.

I moved UP to punch cards in college (COBOL class) from a teletype and paper tape in high school.

OMG that brings back memories! Do you remember all the wild things we used to do with the punch cards when we had finished with them? Wreaths, picture frames, and on and on. Thank god we don't have to recycle those any more! And the boxes of that computer paper that was one long un broken stack- with the pinholes on the sides. OMG Those were different days!

@eastern refugee I have been watching the options/loan rates, and if you notice the previous rates ended yesterday. As has been the pattern when the rates expire it goes back to a default 5% with no incentives, but within a day or so they put the old rates back in with the same incentive expiring in a month. Before you get worked up and call for the pitchforks, let's see what happens. As been said numerous times, the rates and incentives are placeholders anyway.

For us Europeans, I asked Ford Norway today whether the reduced prices announced in the US would be confirmed in Norway as well, and their reply was that they have not heard anything about a price reduction in Norway. May still happen though, fingers crossed.

With the $2,5000 Incentive that is a pretty good offer.
If I calculated right, when you make the 48th payment (balloon) you will have paid $51,343 or about exactly the selling price of the vehicle.

So the $2,500 Incentive covers the interest cost.
My zip area shows only a $1,000 Incentive for the Option Plan though.
