The sad thing is I still didn't get scheduled today. Now I am wondering whether my dealer REALLY knows anything about the scheduling.
Me too.
Wonder if anyone got scheduled?

I ordered on 10-18-21. This screenshot is what I got. I also got a email from Ford regarding this build. With a vin number. I should call the dealer tomorrow. Just to check. I got tired of checking all the time. And was shocked to get this honestly.

Your dealer knows...
Based on my sample size of one, my belief is that someone at your dealer knows the exact status of your car at all times. In my case, my dealer called me in early March to inform me that our order had been "sent to the plant to be scheduled." Nothing happened the next week, no scheduling. and the next. Then the emails went out about the Active Park Assist. Dealer and I took that off, and the order was clear again.
Then, on April 7th, we got scheduled for 5/16/22. So my dealer knew well in advance that my order was moving, and they bothered to tell me.
That's my point -- someone at your dealer knows. Many don't bother to tell either the sales rep or the customer, but they know.
May take some digging, may be the Sales Manager, Order Manager, General Manager, but ask around. They know.
BTW, my dealer is a medium-sized, small-town Ohio dealer to whom "customer service" means something.
Heh, I don't know about that. I reached out to my dealer to pre-empt the question about the active parking assist. They said it was fine. When I asked them for the four-digit order code so that I could check it against Ford, they couldn't find what it was - even with my name and the "order number" from Ford's website (which is really a reservation number). I had to give them a printout of the configuration from the website for them to be able to match it up and give me my order code; they then confirmed with me that I was OK with the vehicle being built without it.

So... can the dealership tell more information on where the vehicle is in the process than us? Yeah, I'll bet they can. I have a deposit on a vehicle from Chrysler and they were very transparent on what they can see - things like what stage of build (chassis, other parts, and so on) and where it is in the shipping process. They were also transparent on not contacting me about every single change, but only the big ones (scheduled; built; shipped; and where it is in the shipping process). I'd be surprised if Ford didn't have a similar system in place.

But is your dealer organized enough or caring enough to look into it? I can only speak for my own dealer, and that's a bit of a laugh. Won't matter if I get my Mach-E in the end, but wow, has this process ever been interesting...

That is really great, congratulations! Glad to see scheduling continues. Unfortunately I’m in the same camp as imperator and John ‘doc’; ordered through dealer, got confirmation 10/2, so far only contacted to remove parking assist and those heart stopping emails from Ford about nothing. Hopefully the trend up in production numbers indicates supply chain issues normalizing. Maybe coming up with new parts to run out of like tires or steering wheels. ;)

Dealers such as yours are in the process of committing financial suicide. The car buying process is changing, but some dealers refuse to get with the times.

Also, it is guaranteed that Ford has a tracking system like you describe. If they wanted, they could tell us precisely where our cars are in the queue, in the plant, or in shipping. And real-time estimates of completion. They better start, it'll be a requirement before long.

Same here. I'll just keep waiting. The few, the sad, the lonely who are still here in the 10/1/21 order thread that have been neglected and forgotten in the twilight zone of "waiting to be scheduled for production"...
In all seriousness, I'm still pretty damn hyped for this car. Saw one in person today, a black Rte 1, and it kind of renewed my hope.

Every time I sit in the cabin of Mach-E, I get so excited again that let me forget all the pain this car has done to me... I love this car so much that I sometimes hate it as well.

Dealer just called, and I asked about removing auto park assist....

He said we can do that, I have a good chance of getting built sooner, and then would lose price protection and end up paying more (for less features).

Or I can just wait it out.

@Ford Motor Company this feels a lot like extortion.

Seems that the price protection should be based on the original order date not a change in configuration due to parts shortage.

Well my dealer took off the park assist so maybe that will help speed things up. Sales rep said they didn't know if it would make any difference or not. Park assist doesn't really matter to me as I'd never use that feature. She also gave me my 4 digit order code and the dealer code. With those I suppose I could start a chat with a ford rep online, but I'm not even sure what to ask...

Ask them your order status. The answer you want to hear is, "Unscheduled - clean." Means there are no parts shortages or other hitches. Luck to you.

I wasn't given a choice. I had to sign the release paper or lose the order.

Did your price change? I'd be much better if that was the case.

Having to wait longer than expected**, having to pay more for less.... it becomes something where I'm over this entire process.

** Yes I know, no one could predict the amount of time for an order. I was ready to order in Aug, and the dealer advised that I wait until 22 yr was available and order one (which I did). I should have ordered in Aug in hindsight, I would have still ended up with a 22 most likely.
