But they at least mentioned it in the revised blue cruise instructions! So it’s still on the radar at least!
I must have missed that. Where?

I also went from 2.5.3 to 2.8.2 last night (EA member.) Still no remote frunk release ?
Correction - 2.8.3. My bad.

When a dealer looks up 21G01, there is this note that pops up before they load the bulletin, which just says it will be in a future update.
May 3, 2022 – NOTE: There is a known issue when 21G01 is performed, where the Mach-E Front Luggage Compartment controls in the infotainment display screen will be inoperative until a future software update is available. The manual lever in the driver footwell will still be operational.

Yes, but I don’t HAVE and never HAD “Front Luggage Compartment controls in the infotainment display screen”. So sadly, that doesn’t apply to me.
I suppose I should be happy that Ford is decontenting other vehicles to ensure feature parity ??

I think what they are saying is this update may add the remote frunk release on the screen, but it’s not functional yet.

It came and went a few times during the different updates.

So I got 2.8.2 yesterday as well, apparently while driving from Charleston to Atlanta. During that trip BC would frequently and inexplicably disengage, so much so it was near useless. After arriving in Atlanta I got notification about 2.8.2 installation. No idea if it’s because of this update but we went Atlanta to Birmingham today and BC turned off exactly once and that was a brief lane merge with odd striping so I was expecting it to get confused. By far my best BC experience to date.

and 2.8.3 installed at some point today as well.

Yeah whether you had it or not doesn’t make a difference, it wasn’t supposed to show up for Job 1 when it did a while ago and then they took it out and said it’s coming eventually.

TBH, I’m pretty sure you’re right. The tech writer just didn’t have their Starbucks when they wrote it. Note that it still says “front luggage compartment”, even though ford changed to using the term “frunk” (hey, UK people, does ford now call it a “froot “ over there?)

Once I get blue cruise then I’ll start asking about the frunk. I’m still waiting for anything past 2.3.0. I’m hoping this is my week!

That’s annoying? What about just having a dealer install it?
