My 2022 has arrived at the dealer (prepped yesterday). I went and inspected it, and it looks fine (with a layer of pollen on it). Drove a few miles.

Dealer will apply the 22P08 BlueCruise maps on Monday or so, and we can get it mid-week probably.

Front windows are tempered, not laminated. Windshield is identical.
Kick sensor doesn't work. Will have to look and see if it's there to enable.
Parking function seemed to be functional.
I didn't see a frunk button on the Access screen.

I will pay the October A/Z price, less the $750 rebate, and get the financing options from last year. I didn't go over numbers beyond that. Have to play breakeven on the $1,000 Options rebate and 2.25%(?) rate vs. regular loan at 0% for 1 to 36 months or 0.9% 37-48.

I’ve been at Muncie rail distribution center for about a week. Shouldn’t be much longer now.

I wouldn't have done the transaction. They are dead wrong.

My 5/29/21 order just came in. $750 price protection plus the price from the October invoice.

From my understanding, if they used the initial 2022 pricing (before price increase), you wouldn't need price protection right? since it's already the old price before the increase.

I'm trying to figure out my pricing before going to the dealer to avoid some long process and back and forth there.

There are several price increases.

First, some of us had 2021s ordered and they changed them to 2022s. They issued a new invoice, it was higher, and gave us a $750 incentive to cover the increase (incentive was slightly larger).

Then, there was a price increase in December. Price Protection applies to that.

If you have the DORA, or similar paperwork, prior to the price increase, that's exactly the right numbers.

Since you are headed to Autoport in Wilmington same as me, you will probably be on the next train out which is scheduled for Wed 18th. Check your window sticker every day and see if the date changes on the bottom, that means it is scanned the day before and that only happens during a movent, either in the yard or onto a railcar.
If you check your vin with Postman , (search the forums for instructions) it will show your next movement similar to Palsapp but with more info.

Your post prompted me to check again; Norfolk Southern said the railcar was something like "XFRO *garble* Autoramp New Jersey," which I take as a sign that either the railcar has gone through Delaware and my car's no longer on it, or it's very near Delaware. Either way, yay!

Severe thunderstorms this morning in Kansas City. Half inch hail farther north... haven't seen reports of hail near the train depot yet.
i imagine the cars are in containers, aren’t they?

I tracked my car using the automated phone line (this is Union Pacific railway only as far as I know)...no account needed and never spoke with anyone:


Call Union Pacific 1-800-877-5123:

Wait for prompt on language (1 for English)

Say “Trace”

Say 1 (number of units to trace)

Asks for rail car number (say it clearly and quickly because it will think you stopped if you go too slow)

Asks if you want a fax copy (say NO)



The system will give you a loaded date and time (does update every day as it hits different rail yards as it moves but does not say the specific cities) and an estimated final delivery date to the final rail destination. It will also give you an origination ramp location.
