5/2/22 Build Week Gang

So after Ford Chat gave me 7/8-7/14 as a delivery window earlier in the week, I got the Shipped email from Ford this morning and it says 7/15-7/21.

Almost 2 months is a LONG time for shipping a car from MX->KS->CA. Hopefully they learned their lesson and are just padding the estimates to under-promise and over-deliver.

But I won't hold my breath.

I'm in the 600s for Group 5646. Current vehicle location is Lecheria, just outside of Mexico City. Estimated Delivery 7/13/2022 - 7/19/2022

Hope they're underpromising as well. It'll be a long 3,000+ mile trek.

My dealer called today and said that my car is currently in Texas.

Dealer said he thought it was weird that its already in the US and they still say 6-7 weeks. Must be that delay at one of the stops in SoCal that Ive heard about on other threads.

Talked with ford chat and found out car is in Larado TX with a June 26-July 2 delivery time frame.

Ford chat says my car is in Laredo, couldn't give me any railcar info or an updated ETA so I figure it must be waiting to be loaded onto another railcar or if I'm lucky onto a truck. This was Friday I think. The chat person said "follow this link and maybe you'll get more information," but it was just the update link that came with the emails, that still says shipped but no date for "shipped." Meanwhile the other link still says "Rail," not convoy. Good to know it's in the states and made it through customs!

Mine is actually in the US. On Friday of last week, it was still in Mexico, but now it is at the jct point Laredo, TX. Guessing it hits KC sometime next week. Really looking like the 25 June - 01 July date is going to hold true.

How'd you find out?

I received a tracking on a rail car from Ford, KCS 008380 and when I called KCS, it is in Kansas City. so anyone else on that rail car, theres your update.

The estimated delivery date to the dealership is projected between Jun-15-2022 - Jun-21-2022, which is just an estimate. You can also keep in touch with your dealership for updates as well, John! Is there anything else I can do to assist you today?"

So... Anybody know how to go about stalking tracking this rail car? What rail line this is, anything like that? Also, anybody else have a MME on this rail car?

If so: Kansas City, here we come!

I got my update today as well from Ford chat and mine is also in Laredo, TX on rail car AOK 501846. I am still estimated for delivery starting June 25th. We will see if that holds up. I'm with @P. T. Magoo and wishing we could just watch the dot move along the map until it was here. Would be a lot more satisfying than waiting for periodic updates.

Mine is also in Laredo, Tx and I live in Austin, Tx. A 3 hour drive away.. yet I still have a July delivery date. A month away. Why must it go to kc first?

Mine was scanned in Laredo on the 27th. No updates since. It seems to me that someone from Amazon, UPS, FedEx, or USPS needs to share how to distribute vehicles. There's no reason it should take a month after it makes it to this country to take delivery.
