So a build the week of 11/16 (they normally give build weeks, not actual days) indicates they plan to be building FEs in the fourth week after the scheduled start of MP2 (26 Oct). That either means
  • they have more than they can build in three weeks at full speed
  • they will still be ramping up line speed
  • they are starting late
WIth any of those, it still means FEs should be built before OKTB. Hopefully that means they will get on to Premiums and others by December, if not in November.
It's been mention somewhere in this forum that they are building other trims mixed in with the FE, especially prior to OKTB so they can do their testing on different trims. I wonder how long it will take to clear the parking lot once OKTB hits... One thing to consider, shipping order probably isn't the same as build order. How many units can they ship per day/week...?

Mine is an ORDER number, not a RESERVATION number.
I have a funny suspicion that the Order numbers will determine sequence better than reservation.
My order number is 0224 which "converted" from my reservation on 6/24.

@trutolife27 already said they normally have to wait to ship FCTP until OKTB has been issued. Of course, he also just said there is pressure to get them out sooner than that. A conundrum.
It makes sense too because those vehicles will be sold to customers after a certain point.

What do you mean? Isn’t that in the middle of the pack for 50,000 orders? Keep in mind that European and GT orders haven’t happened and the first 4000 orders were reserved? So, 50,000 - 60% (Europe) = 20,000 for NA. I keep hearing 35% are going to be GTs so 20,000 - 35% = 13,000. So, I should be order 27,034 out of a total of 13,000 possible orders (including ding FEs).
If the factory cranks out 1,000 units a week starting at the end of October, non-stop, then either early February (if my 13,000 number is true and I’m all the way at the end) or, if I’m really order 27,000 out of 59,000 sequential, with no gaps, then end of April. I’m not sure I’m buying either tbh.
A number around 10027000 should have been a reservation from December. My original Premium reservation, for instance, was 10029092 on 12/18/2019.

It's been stated by Ford that date of reservation matters, not reservation number. Also, reservation numbers are not sequential.
In that case, I would assume my reservation date = my order date?
Nevermind

Um, guys, that comment made me root around in my old mail a bit
I honestly thought I held back on pulling the trigger because it was so long ago, and I’m normally the type to procrastinate, but I found this:
Here are your reservation details:
Date reservation placed: 12/01/2019
Reservation ID number: 10027034

Ford has always said FCTP would arrive first so customers would get to test drive one before they make their final purchase.
I'm not going to hold my breath on that. My dealer was extremely non-committal about when or even if they'd have an FCTP car. I anticipate the test drive in my own vehicle.

On the flip side, they're noncommittal about everything except the disdain some of the salespeople have for the MME.

Did anywhere ever say that First Editions are all made first or was it started because it had first in it??

Maybe it just means you're buying a special edition with extra goodies. That's all and they will be produced as they were ordered.

This is just sad and frustrating if my premium AWD extended range doesn't arrive this year with reservation number 10004162. I'm not excited about waiting an entire year to get my tax credits. I will seriously reconsider getting this vehicle if it's delayed to the new year.
I mean you could use the IRS withholding calculator, figure out what withholding would result in a "you'll owe $7,500" from the calculator, send that to HR, and get "paid" the tax credit all year long through higher take home.

At some point it no longer makes sense to have the First Edition unique parts in the plant. There's no way the plant is going to run 100% all First Editions all in a row without a single non-FE sneaking in, but at some point they need to cut them off quickly to reduce that complexity.

I believe the wording was something to the effect of "among the first delivered". People who should know have said they will be built and delivered first. There appears to be some wiggle room for others to be built among them but likely loaded on trains/trucks later.

Although the ones mingled in will likely NOT be premium ER AWD since the idea is to balance the lines. More likely some RWD or normal battery premiums mixed in (maybe even some select/RT1)

Other than the #machdrop cars, the FE sold out about a week after reservations were taken in November 2019. Unless something odd happens, every car reserved in week one and converted to an order in a timely manner will be built this year. And as @JCHLi said, yes it's been stated.

Not hearing anything on that from the rumor mill. But the rail spur at the plant holds 30 rail cars, and it appears each autorack probably holds 10 MMEs. So 300 per load.

No idea how many loads they can do per week though. If one per day, that's 2100/week.

It makes sense too because those vehicles will be sold to customers after a certain point.
You could essentially ship them with a "No Sale" order and allow the dealers to fix whatever issues later before sale, but then that gets risky that the dealers will actually make whatever repairs right... plus the obvious issue with potential customers seeing an imperfect car. But I mean in theory you could ship demo cars with known reworks needed prior to actual sale.

@trutolife27 told us that they can’t just continuously run one model on the line. To keep it running evenly, they have to run a mix of models. So, I think he was implying that there may be some premiums and other models coming out in the beginning as well as the FEs.
